This shoulder support is worth a try if you have a painful shoulder. I have pain from an older injury that flares up from time to time and lingers for weeks. I have never had shoulder surgery nor do I want to ever have it. So I am open to use just about anything I think might be helpful. This looked like it would help. I will say the compression does feel good and makes me feel like my shoulder has extra support to prevent the wrong movement that can flare it up. I have a similar type or device I wear on my knee and it seems to prevent me from reinjuring that. So maybe this would work better if I had worn it before I moved wrong and flared my shoulder up. The brace itself is soft and mostly comfortable. I don't have big arms but I am large boned. The biggest problem I seem to have is that the elastic part that goes across the top of my shoulder rubs on my neck and irritates it. I found myself having to tuck a piece of cloth there to keep it from rubbing me raw. In the end that will probably prevent me from wearing it as much as I would like to. I even tried wearing it over a form-fitting t-shirt but the elastic touches me above the cuff of my shirt around my neck. I wanted to try it with a shirt that has a collar but I currently do not have any like that and because they fit looser, I think it would create too much bulk under the brace. I think this can be helpful depending on how it fits you. The fit guideline only includes one measurement which I did use, but obviously it's not a one size fits all. Raise your arm if you…oh wait, if you need this product, lifting your arm is likely not possible. As someone who is recovering from an impinged shoulder rotator cuff, I firsthand can vouch for how downright painful a shoulder condition can be. When not in physical therapy and/or trying to nurse ones shoulder back to health, stabilization can be the difference between bearable and OUUUUUUUCCCCCH! I like this item for a variety of reasons. The price is decent. The fit works well because it can be adjusted for individual need. And it feels as snug as a well wrapped ace bandage wrap. I hope you never have the need to use an item like this but if you do, I think you will be pleased with the fit of this one. Read more
It feels and looks like a large ace bandage, lol. The support sling has great give and stretch. I love the reinforced stitching and the workmanship is great. I got this for a friend who has a torn rotator cuff. Hopefully this will help with her range of motion and she will have more use in that arm. The price is good and I will recommend. Read more
