3 collars operating on 1 controller. I have 2 adults that are well trained and 3 pups that need fine tuning. These collars allow me to get their attention with a simple push of a button that delivers a tone to the individual pup that I am addressing. All 3 collars can be on simultaneously. Instead of jumping up and down screaming and hollering looking like a nut I can speak at a normal or slightly elevated tone and they know to listen. Because they are pups and get a little bit more excited on retrieves and want to run a little bit outside the line a tone doesn't always regain their focus. I can easily adjust the dial accordingly starting on level 1. So far I have not had to go above a 2 on their most spirited events. My older female retriever was the first pup I tried this product on and she made me a believer. I knew she knew what I was asking her to do but her spirited stubborn streak almost got her placed permanently on the porch. The highest she has ever received was a 3, now at most it's a simple tone. Shes a smart one and this collar "saved" our relationship. Original collar and controller purchased is about 5-6 years old if that doesn't say something about quality I'm not sure what does. Most modern gadgets today from large appliances to small electronics are not made with the same quality and reliability as the SportDog Wetland Hunter 425x training collar. Read more

Please note this is just the collar. I was so excited by the low price that I misread the title and it is in fact just the collar. When I received the collar it did not work, which bummed me out because I had heard nothing but amazing things about Sportdog collars. I called Amazon to let them know the collar did not work and they had a refund back to me within a week. It was more cost effective to purchase the collar and remote together so I ended up purchasing them together at a later date. Review on the Collar and Remote: I absolutely love this product. Settings are 1-7 and I hardly ever have to take it past 2. I have a hound dog, who is very stubborn. Once he was conditioned to the beep on the collar, I very rarely have to actually shock him. I would recommend this product to anyone that has a dog stubborn about coming back when called, or if you are trying to train. Holds a charge for days (we do a lot of camping so it is on a lot of the day) and charges within a couple of hours. Went to the dog park with it having been completely dead for a day, had it on charger for 5 minutes and it lasted through our dog parking. Read more

I have 3 dogs and a collar for each of them. Worked out perfectly because the remote has 3 primary buttons, which I programed for each of the dogs. I don't really have to worry about switching the intensity very often because the sound seems to get the job done. They hear the sound and immediately come back to my side. Great training tool and would very highly recommend for those that like to walk their dogs off-leash. Read more

I have to say, I was very disappointed. I have a Sportdog barking control collar that has been wonderful. However, the picture on the description of this collar showed a remote control. This collar comes alone. There was no hand-held remote. Therefore, it is completely useless to me. If the remote is purchased separately, it is very expensive to purchase. I will have to return this collar, wait for the credit, then start the process from the beginning. This is too much hassle.
