Terrible. Handles were always sticky to adjust the weight, one side more than the other. I thought that was just how they were. But after one year and 2 months of dealing with it a weight fell off and smashed my toe!!!! I checked the dumbbell and the inner shaft that moved in and out to adjust the weight no longer moved. I shook the handle and could hear a peice of plastic rattling around inside. I took all of the weights off and extended the inner rods out. See picture. One side no longer moves out. I think the cheap plastic gear in the second picture broke. For $400 I would look elsewhere! Read more
I'm only doing this review because the price is too good to be true. Well let me tell you. The product is actually pretty good. I just received my set in the mail. It did come with 1 broken weight plate as shown in the 2nd picture. If you have any plate slippage check for broken pieces! I'm reaching out to the manufacturer to get a replacement but other than that these things work like they should. Just be gentle with them. Don't drop them or slam them in the cradle. I believe they'll last a long time. I also purchased asurions $35 2 yr warranty for extra coverage. I hope this review helps. UPDATE: I reached out to the manufacturer for the broken plate and they replied to me within 24 hours. I was sent 1 extra dumbbell for free and they told me I could keep my old one to avoid shipping costs. I've used these dumbbells for a few days now and I'm still happy with my purchase. UPDATE: Its been 6 months since I purchased these dumbbells. They have been doing great. I only had 1 problem with them in 6 months. I fixed the issue pretty quick. I couldn't get the handle to twist on one of them. It felt as if it was locked up. I oiled them both up and got it back working properly. I have no complaints. Im going for another 6 months. I’m a little worried about the quality of this product. It hasn’t broken yet on me, but it’s very wobbly the more weights you add, which scares me. The grip feels nice, and the size is okay. And it DOES save you space, though the weight selections are weird, idk why the company didn’t go with whole numbers. The box came today and every bit of packing inside was smashed up. The box packing, weights, and rack look like it had been dropped more than once, like many times. There is so much damage to the plates, the handle assembly, and the rack that this dumbbell is completely not usable. Look through the photos wish includes a list of the broken parts. Hopefully I can get the replacement parts and get this in proper working order. EDIT: The manufacturer has replaced what was damaged during shipping. To be clear, the dumbbells, I got a set in two shipments, are outstanding and work great!!! Back to the damage though; Stuff happens, but the manufacturer responded to and remedied the situation faster than I could ever expect. It was quite impressive and I'm very thankful for it, as my time and energy is very valuable and I had to expend just enough to get the information to them to fix the problem. There were no jumping through hoops or other time-consuming obstacles to navigate. This is a case where the customer service justifies the premium for the product.
