Good addition to home gym. The bar is adjustable and is suitable to most standard size doorways. The bar locks on both sides and secures well. The grip on the side holds up well and once secured it doesn’t move. Been using for several months now and it didn’t need any adjustment. It’s been holding up great. The reinforced steel pipe is strong as well. The grips are comfortable too. I’ve been using it with pull up assist bands and it is working well with bands too. The media could not be loaded. I like the engineering of the Squatz Chin-up Bar. A lot of thought was put into the device itself, but not so much into the instructions. And yet there is the glaringly obvious fact that this device cannot be used in any doorframe in my house, because the doorframes are trimmed out (called the stop). That doesn't leave anyplace for the large footpads to rest in the doorframe, see pics. Does anyone have doorframes that aren't trimmed out (stopped)? I don't think I have ever seen that... So, there is only one place in my house I could install this device, a "cased opening" also shown in pics. Now that I have deciphered the instructions, I see how this device can easily be moved from one place to another, perhaps to use as a sit-up or a push-up bar, as the manufacturer suggests. There is a noticeable wobble in the bar, see video, however the device did impress me as being sturdy while doing pull-ups. What the listing doesn't say is that the SQDPB-1 model, for 29.5" - 45" openings, has a maximum grip width of 19". My shoulders are wider than 19", so I'm limited to a narrow-grip pull-up, focusing on limited muscles. To get a better workout, I would have to use the SQDPB-2 or 3, none of which can be used in my home. The excellent safety features take up too much space on the bar, restricting the grip area. I think most men require a wider grip, just as I do. So find available "cased openings" and measure before ordering, taking into consideration your shoulder width. It's interesting that the pictures in the product listing always show the safety locks at the far outer ends of the bar, leaving maximum space for a wide grip. That's because the bar always perfectly fits the doorframe or doorway. See the pic from the listing. My graphic design experience tells me that these pictures are fake. The device is not mounted in those doorways, the doorways were added in. And the guy doing the pushups? Fake. His very-blurry hand isn't holding the device. If you purchase a model of this device optimal for your cased opening and shoulder width, I would recommend this device. Otherwise, look for something else. Read more

It took a minute to understand how to properly tighten it so that it is secure between whatever support surfaces you use but once it is up. It locks in place and does not move. An excellent addition to my home workout equipment. Read more

I'm a big guy, but this thing started bending like a popsicle stick immediately under my weight. And the installation lock system is frustrating and uneasy to find a guide that is legible, including YouTube. Can not advise against this product enough. Very disapointed. Read more

It's great to finally have a doorway pull-up bar that doesn't have to be screwed into place. With that said, because it's not affixed to the doorway and only hanging via pressure, you have to be DANG SURE that you have this thing cranked down and solidly installed. It's never slipped on me and works well. Good overall build though it has a bit of rattle even when tight ... as every doorway pull-up bar does. Read more

It's harder than it should be to get into place. Maybe thats just inherent of it's design. It will push your frame and possibly crack it while youre getting it in place. Read more
