I always struggle with hair products as a guy. My hair is short but long enough that I've got it flipped up off the front. The problem is my hair is incredibly straight and wants to naturally lay all in one direction. That means I've got to blow dry it first to get it "stuck" in the direction I want, followed by a massive amount of product (usually, a pomade followed by hairspray) to keep the desired look strong throughout the day. I saw this and almost thought it was a joke. What could a powder do to hold hair in position? Let me tell you, this stuff is like magic pixie dust... put just a SPRINKLE in your hand, mix through hair, voila, super strong, pliable hold. I'm able to use a brush to work it in well and get my desired look. I still finish with a little bit of hairspray, but not nearly as much as I used to. I'm still astonished how much this powder is able to style my hair. It goes on clean, you see zero residue, nothing white, and it is silly strong - you can't use too much or good luck trying to move your hair at all! I'm figuring this one container will last me well over a year given how little I have to shake out and use, but again, my hair is pretty short. The scent is kind of not noticeable, and it doesn't really smell like vanilla. Hard to explain it but no matter because you can't detect it after working it in anyway. Not a problem for me, I don't want my hair product acting as cologne. I've completely ditched my pomade that I had been using for a DECADE in favor of this stuff, so take my word for it: this stuff WORKS. Give it a shot and you'll be amazed. Read more

I really want to like this but the powder is messy, and it makes my hair impossible to comb or move much beyond what I style it into. I will give it credit on that the hold is decent, the smell is nice, and it does provide volume for sure. However, with my long and mostly curly hair I just don't think it's compatible with me, as much as I wanted it to be because this is a pretty neat product. Read more

I'm familiar with cornstarch-based dry shampoos that reduce shine and oil, but this product elevates the effect significantly. My photos don’t fully show the volume boost, my hair appears slightly frizzy and unstyled, but I can feel the difference. It recreates that feel of a '90s bridal teased hair with just a few shakes. Safely used as directed, overuse may cause buildup or dryness. For quick, easy volume or that "bridal dirty hair" look, it works excellently, adding noticeable texture. Personally, I won't use it routinely, my style is usually messy bun or clean hair, but I’m happy to test it for styling enthusiasts. The first picture is with oily, 4 day unwashed hair and the other one is with the volume powder applied right after taking the first picture. Read more

My hair’s been staging a full-blown rebellion lately, falling flatter than a week-old soda, and this powder came in as the tactical backup I didn’t know I needed. It lifts, adds grit, and gives my roots the pep talk they’ve been ignoring for months. Bonus: it doesn’t reek like a middle school locker room. The scent is light and surprisingly nice. But here’s the catch: the texture feels like someone dumped micro-sawdust into my scalp. Voluminous? Yes. Pleasant to touch? Not even a little. Still, I’ll happily tolerate a little grit if it means not looking like I lost a fight with a hair straightener and a humidifier. Read more

This men’s Hair Styling Powder came in a branded box. The cylinder inside held for 0.7 once’s of product, that when used, adds volume and decent hold. The vanilla scent is not overwhelming. Application takes a little getting used to. I’m not sure how I feel about what feels like grittiness on my scalp. Made in Finland. Read more

First of all, read the instructions. This is not to be applied directly to your hair or scalp, it's supposed to go on your hands and then your hands go on your hair. I didn't catch that part in the first time I used it was a disaster. Once I read the instructions and done things properly, I found that this helped give my hair a little extra oomph without any of the sticky mess I had the first time. The smell is a light vanilla, and once it settles isn't really noticeable which I'm happy with. The texture lasted all day, and when used minimally does not leave a white cast on your hair at all. If you just dump this stuff on your head like I did the first time it definitely adds a slight white overcast, but that's not the right way to do it... so don't do that. If anything changes I will come back and update, but so far I'm really pleased with this! Read more

This product will give your hair volume. My hair is pinstraight and if air-dried, it will fall flat no matter how i style it. That said, I tried this product on the roots of my hair for volume. It's a little tricky to rub it all in so my advice would be to stay about an inch back from your forehead to avoid seeing any powder residue. With my fingers I rubbed it into the roots of my hair. A little goes a long way, so use it sparingly. It definitely added volume. I've used dry shampoo and texturing sprays, so I know what to expect - your hair will look great, but the trade off is that it feels like there's a lot of product in it. Since I expected that, I was ok with it. I washed it out after using it and it washed away easily, so no worries. If you have flat or thin hair, I'd tell you to try this, but just use it sparingly and keep it away from your hairline. Read more
