I love this dog blanket. I use it over my dog's bed, and it's nice and soft. It washes great -- I wash it with my regular clothes, and it always comes out looking like new. It's semi-waterproof. Update about wash/dry label/description conflict. A number reviewers who responded to questions had washed the blankets at warm temps, and dried at warm/low with no problem. I haven't tried it yet, will report back. As for the complaints about size and "thinness", the weight serves my purpose of covering the side of the bed 2 cats sleep on to keep the cat hair/etc off the bed cover. And both cats liked it immediately. The Brand Name "Stuffed" is unfortunate because too many people thought that was part of the description. (I didn't think that and I wasn't looking for something to add to cushioning of a surface. ) The blanket is not suitable for providing cushioning: it needs to be used as a "blankie" with a crate pad or pet bed or on furnature. So it serves my purpose just fine, especially if the wash/dry issue does work out. About the packaging: It comes like a gift for a new pet, nicely boxed. However the box size is deceiving, and even the item when first removed. Because problably to reduce shipping and warehousing size (and possibly to prevent returns looking like "unopened" or "used" a practice common to many China sourced products), the blanket has been folded up as small as possible and then inserted in a heavy plastic bag and VACUUM PACKED/COMPRESSED. I've had a lot of experience repacking items and just for fun tried my hand at this and it took me 4 tries, and even then closing the box would have taken tape and still bulged. However, the blanket has been fluffed up nicely by the cats, and that the plush is shorter that some fabrics, I consider that a plus, because it makes it easier to brush the cat hair off between washes. So why the incorrect label: maybe because the label is all in English, unlike many now intended for international sale. Similar products may be intended to be "self-warming" and/or waterproof and consist of two layers of fabric with a plastic layer between; the label may have been intended for another such product. This blanket is woven as a single fabric with different "plush" on each side, similar to toweling or fleece fabrics, but with cut loops on both side. ========original Review While the page Cleaning description says "machine washable & dryer safe", the product label says "Machine Wash Cold & "Line Dry" with the Dryer Symbol crossed out. However, some reviews report using hot water and/or the dryer on their blankets (multiple times or weekly). I wouldn't mind the Cold Wash, but the Line Dry is a non-starter for a pet blanket and my living space. I like the blanket feel and size. I bought it to help keep the pet hair etc. of two indoor (but occasional outside trips) off my bed blanket. The first cat to try it out made biscuits over half of it immediately and then settled in for her daily 8+ hour hibernation. So I may buy a couple more, but would like the washing and especially the dryer compatibility issue resolved. I like the feel, the double side choice, the color (grey), the size and the edge binding (others I looked at use an overcast thread binding, which I suspect doesn't stand up especially with biscuit making cats.)
