For the dessert baker, there are going to be times when you need to pre-bake a crust, and when that happens you know that you need to weigh it down (huge, puffy crust anyone). When you need to pre-bake a crust, these weights are perfect. They are just little balls of hardened ceramic, but they are evenly shaped and weighted, and the 2 lb bag is enough to properly fill and weigh down the crust, no matter what size. If you use parchment paper, you won't even need to clean them after, but cleaning is relatively easy. Drying takes time, but a cookie sheet and sun shine work well. I have used these numerous times, and they still appear as new, clean and white. And no puffed up crust bubbles. Win win Read more

These weights worked just fine for me. There are enough in the package for one pie. The size is good. They come in a disposable bag, so you need something to store them in. They are easy to wash and you can't beat the price. No need to pay more Read more

Pie weights are great for single crust filled pies. I like these ceramic weights due to the fact they can be washed, unlike using beans or rice. Good price. Items came vacuum sealed--good for shipping. Vacuum sealing prevents any possible chipping or cracking. Read more

So far these have exactly what I needed them for. Kept my base layer pie crust low. I would suggest getting two packs though for a 9” pie crust. Read more
