I recently hurt my lower back overdoing something and my old heating pad was not cutting it. I ordered this one because the size was perfect and it had a soft cover. I didn't want one of the big ones that would heat up too much of my back and just make me hot so I settled on this size. It's perfect. Covers just the lower half of my back. Also wanted a soft material in case it ended up in direct contact with my skin. The 4 heat settings are great. I start off on high and then lower it as needed. It also has a safety feature that shuts it down after awhile in case I fall asleep. Overall, it works perfectly, is the right size, and has a soft cover. Added bonus is a long cord so I can plug it into an outlet and use it laying on the sofa. It's everything I was looking for. Read more

This heating pad is very flexible and soft, has a generous 9 foot cord length and the best part is it has a perfect warm setting. The cord is detachable and you can roll this up for storage. It is also handy if you like a moist heating pad as it can be sprayed with water. I would buy it again. It’s perfect for what I wanted, the size is easier to deal with than the large long pads. It heats up very fast and can get quite hot on the high setting. Read more

I have had this heating pad for a couple of months and I have been impressed with it. The settings are easy to read and to set. I have used it on my ankle, knee, thighs, shoulder and back and it works great. I like the size because The size is a little bulky around my ankles but it is great on my back. I roll it up and pack it for trips with no problem. Read more

No problem out of the box on day one. My skin is sensitive so the only setting I use is warm, which is plenty of heat for me. It relaxes the muscles on warm; however, the highest setting is too hot for me. I’m disappointed that I can’t get a straight AI answer on whether or not I can put it on my back and lean on it in a chair safely which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. I tried on my lower back in a chair leaning on it and it got too hot on my back. It is made of polyester. I have an allergy to polyester, so far it hasn’t caused a problem. One side is soft with a blue color and the other side is a gray cover with instructions printed on it. I’m unclear which side should be applied to my skin so I tried both with same result. It’s light weight but not flimsy. Sunbeam usual quality. It is machine washable on the gentle cycle and low heat dryer.Looks like I have a newer version from the ones in the pictures in the Amazon ratings. I recommend a purchase if you’re willing to lay the pad on top of the affected muscle rather than leaning on it or laying on top of it. Read more

Okay, let me start by saying that I normally would always buy Sunbeam products because of their quality and durability. I recently had a heating pad exactly like this one, it got really hot and lived a good life. One day it died, the control box got really hot and the next day it didn't work at all. So, I started down the path of ordering another one exactly the same, I thought, and it came and it would not get hot like the old one did. I ended up going through this process four times!! Each time I got the new hot pad and turned it on, it got warm but not hot at all like the one that I used to have. If it doesn't get hot enough, for me, it's just worthless. I don't know what's going on with this manufacturer these days, but I can tell you after going through the hassle of having bought this product four times and not having it work properly, I feel it's safe to assume that the company is no longer manufacturing products to the standards that they used to. After this I did a whole bunch of research trying to figure out where I could get a hot pad that actually gets quite hot to my satisfaction, what I found was a company called Pure enrichment. I bought their heating pad, 12x24 in, with a 5-year warranty and excellent reviews. I can't tell you how happy I am to have this new hot pad, that actually works as it should and gets hot! Yay, no more trips back to the UPS store to return crappy Sunbeam heating pads that don't work, and I now have the added bonus of having a hot pad that actually does what it says it will. My back is very happy!!! Read more

This wasn't the cheapest heating pad, first of all. I usually buy the cheapest of anything. But I'm trying something new--not buying the lowest-priced item. Because the last 77 times Ive done that, the items have rarely made it past the 6-month mark. You think I would learn by now, and maybe I have. So I got the sunbeam brand. It's mid-priced. I love the color, very neutral. And when they say it's large, it is large. It heats up quickly and evenly. Stays on for a long time, shuts off buy itself and is super soft. Everything you want in heating pad. Baby steps, I guess. I'm working my way up to Gucci- Read more

The Sunbeam Premium Heating Pad is a total lifesaver! The king-size design covers a large area, making it perfect for back, shoulders, or legs. It heats up quickly and evenly, with multiple heat settings so you can find just the right level of comfort. I also love the soft fabric and the compact storage feature—it folds up neatly and doesn’t take up space. Key feature is the timer, which turns off automatically Read more
