Light bulbs are a dime a dozen, so when I was considering purchasing these for aesthetic value I asked my husband how long they would last. He said they should work for many, many years. I didn't doubt him, since I've had light bulbs in my home that were purchased when we initially moved in almost 11 years ago that are still working. I decided the purchase was worth the investment and bought enough to fill all three of our bathrooms, plus a few extras. What a mistake it was! Within 1-2 months several of the bulbs began flickering and a few would struggle to turn on, only working sometimes or suddenly deciding to work several minutes later after being turned on. We replaced a few with the extras I had bought, thinking maybe we got duds. Not at all. Over the last year, all but 4 lightbulbs from the 20 that I purchased even work at all and they aren't consistent either. The packaging states there is indeed a 5 year warranty, but there is no option to utilize it through the Amazon return process at all - just a bunch of "troubleshooting" tips that should be common knowledge and will not help a faulty product. I do not recommend buying these lightbulbs in the least. If you do decide to chance it, certainly don't start out with a large amount that you will regret overpaying for. I am so disappointed. I purchased several boxes of 4 of these lights. Two of the bulbs burst after they were installed exterior light fixtures. I don't know what happened however I have replaced the broken bulbs & hope that there will not be further issues. Read more
