These lights are fantastic so far. They light up nicely and at the same brightness with a ballast and without. I always buy AB type lights so that I can direct drive them if the ballast had failed. I do prefer to direct drive always for efficiency, but the prospect of me direct wiring over 1000 fixtures at once keeps me just throwing them in unless I have to. So far with my buildings ballasts I've not noticed any excess heating of the power supplies in the ends of these tubes. I will take a thermal camera to them soon. The color is nice, the CRI is decent. Not amazing, but certainly every bit as good as the best fluorescent tubes. I only lost one in shipping. This is to absolutely no fault of the manufacturer here. These are very sturdy and packaged very well. Sadly the tube was shattered so hard it ripped the LED ribbon so I won't be fixing and using it with a plastic tube as I hoped I would should any arrive with broken glass. I was a near center tube of the bottom layer, broken just off from center. So this was a side strike on the box during handling rather than the more expected end crushing. All the foam padding they added couldn't do anything about that. I installed the 49, then ordered two more boxes. I will be buying thousands of these if they prove to last the test of time. Read more
