I’ve had a few yoga mats over the years, he first one was similar to this, I loved it, it lasted a long time. Eventually I got a gift card to an expensive outdoor company and bought a very nice mat, or what I THOUGHT was nice. It looked good and felt good but when I use it my hands slide all over it (I am NOT Sweaty) during down dog. Finally I ordered this one, it is a fraction of the “nicer” one’s price and more similar to my original mat. I really like it, no sliding, and I hope I keep it for as long as I can. It is ok and will do. But it doesn't hold up to well if you use it with shoes on. The shoes kinda tear up the mat. little blue pieces of foam go everywhere. I know, I know, with yoga, you are not meant to wear shoes BUT sometimes I use the mat for other exercise. I just expected it to hold up a little bit better. Otherwise, it is decent affordable mat! Love this mat for using underneath my Gaiam premium mat when I want extra cushioning (for knee protection) or stability support for mat pilates or hatha yoga. If you like a sticky, somewhat squishy feel to your mat, you'll like this mat! I actually got this for my boyfriend because he is a public bus driver and when he is at a layover and has no passengers he can lay this down on the isle and do his crunches etc. He loves it! It's not very thick but he says it's just perfect. It fits perfectly in the isle, easy to transport and a great size for him (hes a tall, broad guy) I'm happy he's happy :) SIDE NOTE: To those who don't trust reviews from people who get free or discounted products for being HONEST and UNBIASED, like me....
