I ordered 20 of these for my 42' x 50' shop that has 20' ceilings. During installation, I tested one light in the loft area and was shocked at how bright one of these is. I immediately decided not to install two of them and use them in another area. Once 1/4th of the units were installed on one end, it was apparent I would not need two more that were planned. I could have had very good lighting using just 10 of these units. My unites were mounted directly to purlins in a steel building. I have half the lights on one switch and the other half on another switch. Using only the lights on one side, it is like daylight in the shop and there are no shadows. The color is white and there is not color distortion. I have the lights grouped in pairs using the couplers provided. The electrical wiring was done using the direct wire cords provided and some of the switch cords with the switch removed. I also installed two of these in a 15' x 15' office and, like the shop, I split them between each side of the room. It very bright and perfect for use for amateur radio operation and work on electronics. I think the brightness and color specifications are right on. The units will get warm when in operation. The metal back of the light is a heat sink and being in contact witm metal beams, they will operate cooler. There is not audible sounds or flickering and no noise in audio devices. These have been installed a month so I have not comments on how long they might last. The mounting was done with the metal clips at each end and one plastic clamp in the middle. This will make it simple to replace should the need arise. I have no problem recommending this product at this time. Read more

I have to say these lights were awesome on price, light weight, quality seems to be good and put out great light for my shop. I was able to paint my vehicles with better confidence. Not sure on the lifespan yet, installing them was a breeze although there was 1 plug in cord missing from the set however I didn't need it. Read more

Bright and work well enough for the price. We'll see how they last. My one complaint is with ten lights I got four plug cords and daisy-chain cords to put half of them together. There are some short direct wire cords, but if you are installing in specific locations, like replacing an old 8 foot permanent mount with the wire box at the mid-point, you will need to make a cord. Will 100% purchase again. Wish there was a way to buy different length connector cords. Especially when you try to make your own cord length and accidentally cut the wrong end off. Read more

These lights are amazing so far. They are super bright. Install was an absolute breeze, I’m really not sure what everyone’s problem with the clips is. I’ve installed literally 100’s of lights with different clips and these are not that bad. The light is incredibly light, so I got away with 2 clips, 2ft in from my 8ft light. The biggest problem is the drywall anchors they supply, now those are hot garbage. I’ve only had them for 2 weeks so far, and will update if needed. Read more

We purchased this kit a few years ago and it was amazing! No issues and everything is still perfect from those. Fast forward until now and we purchased 20 more of them. To our shock- they got cheap. They are not the same as they used to be and they are incredibly frustrating to work with and install. My first and second pics are of the mounting brackets. The LEFT is the new revision, the RIGHT is the old. The extra support bend you see in the middle of the one of the RIGHT makes a huge difference in how it is able to hold the base of the light to the ceiling. That clip on the right is more stable and holds the base of the light nice and tight. The new design is weak and the lights pop off and fall to the floor. They fall during install, they fall overnight randomly and they fall under the slightest movement. Totally useless! When you are way up on a high ceiling and these keep falling on you as you try to hang them it's something that takes you by surprise every time. I've almost fallen off my ladder several times due to this. This product literally tried to kill me many times. I gave up on the new hardware and still had some of the old hardware from our original order years ago and used those brackets instead. Not a single light falls now, which proves the superiority of the older design... Even the cables are now shorter and cheaper. Look at my third pic. The cable on the LEFT is the new revision, the RIGHT is the old. Lost over half the length on the cable and this also created issues. The cable is too short to extend between the beams and I had to install the lights at an angle for them to reach. Just another cost cutting thing that makes it far more difficult to deal with this product! I just couldn't believe it when I finally got the lights mounted and found the cables were too short to fit! I don't appreciate the change in quality this company hosed us on with this product. I used to love these lights but I now very much dislike them. They are not what they used to be and I will no longer purchase anything from this manufacturer. It is obvious that quality is not their goal, and to save a few pennies per order is worth added trouble for you. We notice and your customers are not stupid. It's not good and not appreciated.
