I cannot express enough how much I LOVE this clamp!!!! I've already gotten so much use out of it and I've only had it for one day!! I am currently using it to hold my UV umbrella on my folding chair! I used it yesterday to attach my umbrella to my tripod for my photography lights and last night to hold my plant on my other light stand so i could move my room around. It's crazy how versatile this is! It's really strong and super stable! It fits on pretty much any size pole! It holds my phone and my rebel camera with the little attachment that comes with it. I have the phone clip already and it fits into the screw holder attachment great. Super easy to use with great mountability. You can bend and turn it in so many directions to suit your desired position and then lock it into place by tightening the screws! I love love love it!!! It even comes with an extra ball attachment. This product works well, but I’m not sure if it will hold up during heavy rains or wind, even without the umbrella that I’ve attached to it. For what I need to fit is great. The design is great. I have a small southwest facing apartment balcony where the afternoon sun can get too warm and intense for comfort. No matter what I found, typical patio umbrellas would be too much for the space. Combined with an oversized rain umbrella, this clamp has been a perfect shade solution. The clamp is well designed, making it easy to use and adjust. It works just as well when attached to the various sized pieces of my metal balcony railing, and also fits the much larger frame of my patio chair. I can tilt and move it with the sun as needed, so I also use it to extend the time my plants can enjoy extra filtered light on days when I'm home. I really like how much flexibility this gives me throughout the day without fully blocking my view of the sky and trees around me, or the light into my apartment . It's very sturdy when fully tightened, even when the umbrella is quite tilted or if it's a breezy day. I'm not using it for a phone, so I can't comment on that, but this combo is a successful and significantly more affordable alternative solution, helping me to enjoy my small balcony to the fullest. I love it, and it gets use on most nice days, sometimes getting adjusted throughout most of the day.
