Honestly, I purchased these more out of necessity for my house and the many places we charge devices. I wanted something that was also surge protecting as well. Not only is this product everything I needed, but I ended up actually liking the look, versatility and just how practical and usable this product is. Works as intended, built in surge protector, it's compact so it doesn't take up much space compared to power strips, AND only takes one outlet, leaving the bottom one open for something (as if I need it anymore with the multiple outlets on this product). I love that this has so many outlets and still doesn't block the bottom wall outlet. I have a living room outlet where the bottom plug is connected to the room light switch, and the top plug just works independently. This allows me to still plug my lamp into the bottom plug so that it is controlled with the room light switch, and the top plug now has a lot of available slots for me to have my wifi mesh and my computer system plugged in. I also ran a USB-C to Lightning plug to the USB-C port and it charged my phone fine. Read more

This is the only outlet extender/surge protector I've found that has side and front outlets, USB-A and USB-C, is small enough to not block the lower outlet and is narrow enough to allow enough room for the light switch on outlets with both a light switch and outlets. The splitter is 80 mm tall by 59 mm wide by 38 mm deep (not including the prongs) This splitter leaves about 2 mm of space above the lower outlet on standard outlets. When installed in an outlet with a light switch there is about 12 mm between the edge of the splitter and the edge of the light switch. When installed in the top outlet of a GFCI outlet the splitter covers the test button of the top outlet. The splitter fits securely in the well-worn outlets in my apartment. I appreciate the "Protected" red light indicator, but it is recessed too much to easily see unless you're looking at it from almost directly in front of it. Read more

As a plug expander, it's suitable. it fits in my snug area, being no wider than the usual plug box. It does manage to stay in place even when placing an unreasonably large power brick on top of it, but it will wobble a bit. For USB charging, you always need to know what exactly the charging speeds and protocols are. In this case it's on the faster side of standard charging, but No PD, meaning you won't charge a laptop, nor will your new phone fast charge. It's the fast side of the old slow way. Good enough for many uses but not all Then there's surge protection. It's nice that it says it has it, but that's where it ends. Surge protection is not a yes or no, there's useful levels of protection, and fairly useless levels. If a devices doesn't specify what the protection is, it's a fair bet that it's useless. This device says nothing that i can find, nothing about how many joules, clamping voltage, nothing. So don't bet on it actually protecting anything. Overall, it's an inexpensive outlet extender and usb plugs. Size is nice that it doesn't bulge past usual outlet edge dimensions. Read more

Love it! We use these while traveling but obviously they can be used at home as well. The number of outlets and charging ports makes this an extremely handy device to use in a hotel. My experience is that the charging speeds don’t seem to slow down when charging a phone, watch and tablet simultaneously. I did have to use one of the plugs to charge a laptop rather than the USB - C port. We now have the USA and UK models and plan to get locally usable models for all future international travel. I won’t leave home without these - we travel as a retired couple and we bring one for each of us. Read more
