This keyboard is amazing , the quality is awesome , not too noisy I have nails so I hear a little noise not loud at all tho,it was very easy to install, what I love the most is the smoothness of the keyboard looks like glass with the light on it . Would def recommend for the price you can’t go wrong . Read more

This keyboard had a promising start. It has a slight mechanical feel, which I usually avoid, but it’s not bad, definitely quieter and smoother than a full mechanical board. Typing feels decent, and it’s solid for basic productivity. I originally thought there was no backlight dimming, but it does have adjustable brightness. It’s a fixed backlit color, no RGB or pattern options, but it works. Once I figured that out, it was much better for night use. One thing I did notice though: the keys have a bit more travel than I’m used to, and it kind of slows down my typing. Might not bother everyone, but if you prefer low-profile or laptop-style keyboards, it’s something to keep in mind. Also, the font on the keys is a bit thick or stylized, which makes it harder to read at a glance. Just a weird design choice that affects clarity slightly. Overall, it works, it looks decent, and it feels sturdy. Not perfect, but for the price, not a bad pickup either. Read more
The keys are actually more quiet than I thought. You can still hear some of the key strokes but not all the CLICK CLACKING! Read more
This keyboard is not quiet, but it is quiet-er than my old gaming keyboard, which clicked obnoxiously. The f9 key is upside down for some reason; guess whoever assembled it thought they were being funny. I turn the backlight off at night, and sometimes it will not turn on again unless I unplug and reset the keyboard, which is annoying. Overall, an average keyboard with poor quality control. I am only keeping it because I am stubborn and refuse to keep searching for and buying new ones. Read more
..but the backlighting is too bright for my dark room. Read more
Overall, I am quite pleased with its performance and functionality. This keyboard has proven to be a reliable companion for both work and leisure, ticking off most of the boxes for what I look for in a keyboard. The standout feature for me is the backlit design, which adds a stylish touch to my workspace and makes typing in low-light conditions a breeze. The LEDs are bright and evenly distributed, providing good visibility without causing eye strain, and are customizable to vary its lighting level or the speed of its "breathing" effect, if you choose to use it. The minimalist raised-flat-key design not only contributes to its sleek appearance but also makes it incredibly easy to keep clean, a definite plus for those who, like me, appreciate a tidy workspace. Typing on this keyboard is a delight—the keys are quiet, smooth, and distinct, offering a satisfying tactile feedback. The fast action of the keys is a boon for those who type quickly and need a responsive keyboard. The full keyboard layout is another advantage, especially for users who prefer the traditional layout over compact versions. Keypress action feels slightly deeper than a laptop, but still short enough that I have never felt hampered. There are a couple of stylistic concerns that potential buyers should be aware of. Firstly, the LED lights are a single color, which might be a dealbreaker for those who prefer a more customizable lighting experience. While this is a personal preference and not a functional flaw, it's worth noting for users who prioritize RGB lighting options. Secondly, the limited tilt angle of about 15 degrees may be a drawback for typists who prefer a steeper slant, as found in classic typewriters. This might not be a major concern for users accustomed to laptop keyboards or slightly tilted designs, but it's something to consider for those with specific ergonomic preferences. In conclusion, the Surmen Q1000 backlit keyboard is an excellent performer, delivering on its promises of a comfortable typing experience, ease of maintenance, and stylish backlighting. The minor drawbacks in color customization and tilt angle are subjective and may not affect everyone's user experience. If you can live with these stylistic compromises, this keyboard is definitely worth considering for its overall reliability and functionality. Read more
I was really hoping this was the keyboard because I’m particular about sound. It’s relatively quiet but I can’t capitalize any sentences. My shift key out here making me look like e.e. Cummings. Read more
