I have reviewed quite a few keyboards and this is one of the best scissor switch keyboards I have ever used. This is not my first Perixx keyboard review, in fact there are at least three of them that I can think of that come to mind and pretty much all of them have been amazing in their own ways with little to no major issues. I think this might be the first Scissor switched keyboard of theirs that I have reviewed that is pretty much flawless though. I genuinely love typing on this keyboard and it has taken over as my main daily driver for my work machine. The key feel is just so absolutely satisfying but, I am probably getting ahead of myself. First, this is a full sized keyboard with media keys. This is a standard layout keyboard that has both a Windows and Mac mode for the modifier keys. The function key allows controlling brightness, volume, media (back, pause, forward) and also has a few special keys for switching applications (on Windows ALT+TAB) as well as overview (WIN+TAB), minimize and search. Function keys are the defaults, though there is a function lock key which will default to the alternates if you like, and it is a dedicated button (though no indicator that it is active). All of the keys are in the right places (backspace, delete) and the enter key is a double wide single row variety so you get a one and a half sized pipe / backslash key above it. Everything about the layout is exactly what it should be. You also get a bonus dedicated calculator shortcut button hanging out on the top row next to the dedicated function lock key. Board flex is a big more than I would like but deck flex and deck bounce is rock solid. There are single level kick stands to give the board a small incline. Rubber feet on the bottom otherwise keep the board in place rather well. I think this might be the first keyboard that I have ever used where I actually prefer it flat. The low profile and slightly inset dimpled keys seem easier to hit. I am not usually one to prefer a full sized keyboard, but this one is really just something else. Key travel is perfect, the way they bottom out is perfect. It really reminds me of a good laptop keyboard, and I dare say almost Lenovo / IBM levels of amazing. I have tested other scissor switched keyboards in the past, nothing I have put my fingers on has come close to this though. The keys are solid, there is no wiggle or bounce when they actuate. Aside from the board flex there is very little negative I have to say about this keyboard in this price range. Sure, the USB cable is basic (could be braided) and the key labels are not etched (though they are really clear), but that is really getting into the weeds of it and again... In this price range your not going to usually get those kinds of features. If you are a typist or someone that is typing all day long and loves the feel of a laptop but works mostly from a desktop setup, this is an amazing keyboard choice Perixx — you have once again created a keyboard that is simply amazing. The keyboard is very quiet, but not perfectly silent. There's both slight sound and tactile feedback for keystrokes. It's a full size keyboard, so it's easy to touch-type on it. No mis-struck keys because they're too close together. The keys are very low profile, so there's little vertical movement when typing, which should help with finger fatigue. The keys are barely 1/16inch high, yet each one has a shallow indentation for fingers to fit into. It has all the function keys, including several media hotkeys, some of which are dedicated keys (not just the F1-F2 keys). Installation was a breeze, I just plugged it into a USB port and started typing. And the cord is long enough to reach my 'desktop' which sits on the floor under my desk. It's very slim overall but does have two little legs at the back to tilt it toward you. And bonus, it does NOT have a built in 'wrist rest'. The only thing I'm missing, and it's not the fault of the keyboard, is it's not backlit. I knew that going in, but I didn't think I'd miss it this much. I like this keyboard, and I feel this is a good product for a good price. Read more

The Perixx PERIBOARD-210II US Wired Full-Size USB Keyboard with Quiet Scissor Keys is a solid, no-frills option for anyone who needs a dependable keyboard for everyday use. It works well right out of the box with a simple plug-and-play setup. The quiet scissor keys offer a smooth and low-noise typing experience, making it a good choice for shared or quiet environments. It can sit flat or be angled slightly using the built-in feet, depending on personal preference. While it doesn’t have a lot of extra features, it performs exactly as expected, making it ideal for work, home, or backup use. Great for those who need full number pad too. A practical and budget-friendly option that does exactly what a keyboard should. Read more

I do a lot, and I mean A LOT of typing. This keyboard initially appealed to me due to the low profile keys. I do like a creamy keyboard, but I also like a quiet one. Somehow, someway, this has elements of both. 5/5 Keyboard layout: I have to start here because WOW this keyboard really does it all. There are so many built in quick keys, my favorite of which is the calculator key, but it even has a function key to lock the functions so you don’t have to press and hold the “fn” every time. There are many convenient function keys, and you are able to do a lot of quick actions directly from your keyboard. It includes a 10 key, and you get an extra long “|\” key above the enter symbol. It has quick keys to switch from windows to Mac, though I’m not sure why that would be needed, I don’t know anyone who has one keyboard for both operating systems. 5/5 Function: There is no lag, the keys respond brilliantly. The keyboard is wired, so no worry of running out of battery or out of charge. No dongles to keep up with. Just plug and play, no drivers necessary. It comes with rubber stops on the bottom so it does not slide around. In addition, it has feet that flip out to add a slight angle. This feels like typing on a laptop, but without the laptop. 4/5 Shipping: This thing took FOREVER to arrive. I think it came from Germany. Other than the long wait, it arrived in good condition. It was packaged with care and plenty of protection. 5/5 Value for Money: At the time of this review, the keyboard is priced at about $22. Not too shabby for the amount of functions it gives you and the feel of typing on it. If you don’t mind waiting for a great quality keyboard and wireless is not your preference, this keyboard is a great price and offers a lot of features. Read more
