This keyboard is beautiful, I really wanted to keep it, it was the ideal size and the keys pressed really well and were very thin chiclet type keys, not big chunky keys. It actually made me happy to use it because of the rainbow colors. It was very bright and easy to read. However the very top row of keys that I’m used to having was missing so if you want to use any of the F keys, delete, escape or print screen you have to use the FN button. And there were two keys that were defective, one of them was the A and every time I would type I would end up with two A’s, I decided not to replace it because it really was inconvenient as I use the print screen and the delete keys a lot. After using the keyboard for a few weeks, here are my thoughts. Overall, it does exactly what I needed it to. I had done measuring prior to purchase. I wanted a separate keyboard that wasn't as big as a standard keyboard, yet also had a backlight. That seems to be the hardest feature, a backlight, to get at a good price. At 11.1" I wish it was maybe a couple inches wider, but not 17.25" (standard size). The backlight was key in having a plug in keyboard. It's got adjustable brightness which is nice. The cord is nice and long at 3.9'. It works perfectly with my laptop. It's very nice. Nothing at all wrong with it. Light and portable. Works as it should. Just be sure you are okay with something this small. Read more
So, this keyboard is definitely a keyboard. It had a nice typing feel and the chicklet style keys were exactly what I wanted. there was a couple easy fixes to this keyboard that probably would change my review to a 5 star if they were apparent. I understand this is a cheaply made budget keyboard but I had an issue with the USB cable, it would randomly disconnect from my computer and not register some of my keypresses, this happened every minute or two. Also the RGB, I think they should either raise tthe price to $24.99 and put some "okay" RGB on this keyboard or just scrape the RGB all together. The RGB had two options, stagnate or mild seizure, there is no flow, or soothing pattern and the "flash" is literally just blinking on and off. Your also stuck with Greenish Yellow, Red, Then Blue going left to right and the color does not change or move and it looks very very terrible. Also if you turn the RGB off on the keyboard then turn your PC off guess what, The RGB comes back on while the PC is off.... very strange and was quite a problem since I keep my computer in my room. if this company ever decides to make a new version of this keyboard I would be a full supporter of it if they changed the connectivity issue and the sucky RGB. Other than that the response whenkeys actually pressed felt good and it was a nice chicklet board. Just a few adjustments guys!! Read more
I'm in the process of making a Chromebook-centered workspace more ergonomic and needed an additional keyboard to compensate for raising screen height. This option seemed decent based on appearance and description. After receiving the unit and connecting it to my device, everything seemed to function correctly both plugged straight into a USB port or with a USB-c adapter. The lowest of 3 LED brightness levels seems most comfortable and has to be manually adjusted after each power cycle. Its plastic construction feels fairly solid. What is leading to me exploring options and considering a return is how loud the mechanical action of the keys is, especially the space bar. My profession involves a significant amount of teleconferencing and direct client contact with concurrent documentation, so keystrokes need to be silent as opposed to the volume of a 1980's keyboard or typewriter. Its only been two weeks, but so far I really like it! :) Update: I've got about 100 hours using it, so far I'm still loving it. That's not a lot of time. But I like it enough that I just bought a second one as a backup. Tip: The backlit keys are very bright, but it has 3 brightness settings & I find the dimmest is enough, so I use it like that to maybe extend the lights' life a bit. Its just a theory based on experience, a dimmed light bulb does last a lot, lot longer than the same bulb used at full power. Read more
I love it. Am using it to write this review. I love the feeling of using this keyboard. Smooth. The black is a great matte and I adore the rainbow under lights. Does make sound, but I love the clacky feedback. It's like a compact laptop keyboard but has all the buttons, except for the 10 numeric key, which is fine. I have a separate one of those if I need it for data entry. This is a great height and size so I don't need wrist guards or anything. I can just use it and put it away if I need the desk space for something else, like crafting or my kitty wants a nap. Read more
I needed a compact backlit keyboard for my work desk, and this one seemed to fit the bill. It's nice and bright and certainly compact, but those are the extent of its virtues. The compactness of the keyboard takes some getting used to and is actually not advisable for regular use, as it forces your hands into a rather uncomfortable position. Also, the black paint on the keys started to rub off after only a week of use and several of the letters are already illegible. I would not recommend this keyboard at all. Read more
