I needed a new keyboard, because the one I have was the original, and I noticed all my keys, the numbers and letters were just about gone........I never liked that keyboard, but kept it anyway.....Through the years, I was having trouble with typing because my fingers would go onto the next key, and I ended up with a LOT of mistakes. When I found this on amazon, I couldn't believe I found exactly what I wanted.....The keys are lit up nice and bright, I'm not hitting other keys at the same time....I can't say enough for this keyboard. And, to me, when I hooked it up and started using it, how much nicer it was to have the larger font and keys....I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a bigger one. So far I have had several people want to know where I got it....And, did I mention, that I buy from Amazon, a lot because they are easy to do business with, and I have never had a problem. I am a 79year old woman whose vision is impaired. I have been using computers since the 1960s, when there was no such thing as a mouse, and the computer was the size of a closet and had no memory. This keyboard is by far the best that I have ever used! I bought it because of the backlighting , the large print and the high contrast between the key bsckground (black) and the lettering (while). The I Mac keyboard it replaced had both lettering and background on a grey scale and was impossible for me to see in bright light. The controllable brightness of the backlighting makes it ideal for evening use. I got what I needed plus much more. I love the built -in calculator, the ability to change the brightness of the screen with great precision and more features, some of which I haven't even tried yet. And the price was super reasonable.I recently bought another one for a different desktop computer in my condo in Seattle. Afterusing the first one I just couldn't go back to the Mac Keyboard that came with the computerI am throughly spoiled! Read more

I am gettign old and have trouble seeing in darkened rooms and have difficulty reading the letters on a keyboard. I have tried other lighted keyboards, but the light is brighter around the keys and keeping me from seeing the letters. This keyboard is different. The letters are much more easily discernable. Hey, I'm OLD, so what. That doesn't mean I can't use a computer. This is the first keyboard that I have found to fit my requirements. The character on each key is lit as well as the outer edge. This lighting is controllable without being distracting. My computer is in my bedroom where the lighting is usually lower than normal. THIS IS NOT A GAMING KEYBOARD. I did NOT want one, mainly because of all the distracting lighting schemes that I just do not like. It's a keyboard NOT a light show. It's for using a computer for everything else. The keys are such that I do not double type due to my fat fingers. That alone is worth it. The keys feel solid and the entire construction is high quality with a good balanced weight to it. The feet hold the keyboard in place on my desk whereas all the previous keyboards wandered all over the place. If it only had a USB port, then it would be FANTASTIC. Read more

IT geek here. I go thru a lot of keyboards. When my last one finally required replacement and with my deteriorating vision, I decided to bite the bullet and go back to a backlit keyboard, this time w/large font. As soon as I plugged it in, I was in love. The backlight has 3 brightness + breathing mode settings controlled via Fn and Pg Up/Pg Dwn keys or turn light off completely as needed. The whole keyboard is seriously low profile. Thin, light, a slight slant w/the foot rests, and only SLIGHTLY curved flat keys. SUPER quiet and with all the media bells/whistles (buttons). Standard 104 key layout. Hope it holds up b/c I won't be switching back, if I can help it. Practically in tears to be able to see the keys again. Only con is the price. Should've been able to come down about $7-10 but I'm not gonna squabble over the price (broke as I am) to be able to function again. Read more

I have used this keyboard almost 2 years. Large print letters/numbers makes it so easy to use in low-light situations. Button on keyboard to turn on/off back light. It's so bright, we turn it off when not in use. Quiet enough to use in a room where someone is sleeping. (But maybe too bright to work in bed). I have used with ios/Mac and PC/windows computers. This keyboard has low profile keys so the keys are not springy, and it's harder to do speed typing. Long nails can hit other keys. Overall, so pleased with this excellent keyboard. Great for anyone with vision challenges too. I wouldn't go back to a regular keyboard after using this one. ** 2022 update - I'm back to buy a second keyboard for another computer. I have a different backlit keyboard with rainbow colors, etc. This black & white with larger type is much easier to see and use if you have older eyes. Read more
