A few months ago I noticed how stained my teeth had become and started using a whitening toothpaste I buy from my dentist’s office. I’ve definitely seen some improvement but started to feel like the whitening had plateaued. The kit comes with three tubes of whitening gel, the light, a card for tracking tooth color, and instructions. The instructions are straightforward. You apply the gel to the upper and lower teeth and wear the light tray for 30 minutes. I looked up each of the ingredients in the gel to make sure they all have a dental application. I used the card to verify the color of my teeth. All my natural teeth are a 4 and my crown is a 2. I would like to get my natural teeth to match the color of my crown again. I've previously used whitening strips. When I have used them, they always make me drool excessively, so I was anticipating the same from this kit. I'm delighted that I do not have to sit around with a rag to deal with drool while I use the light. It seems like the light acts like a stopper because it fits over both the upper and lower teeth. The light comes with four attached adapters and I can plug it into a port on my laptop or directly into a charger. The gel has not caused any sensitivity, which is something I have experienced with whitening strips. The instructions say to store the gel in the refrigerator. When first using a tube, it required more twisting than I expected to get the gel to flow up to the brush applicator. I was initially concerned that I would need eye protection because the light is fairly intense, but once it is in my mouth, the light is well contained. The tray is comfortable and feels similar to a night guard. During the first use, I found myself biting down on it and had to get used to how it felt. The tray feels like it is made of silicone. I have been brushing it with my toothbrush, toothpaste, and a little antiseptic mouthwash after each use. I wish I could clean it in my ultrasonic cleaner, but I don't want to risk damaging the LEDs. I have only used the light for the last few days and I have not yet noticed my natural teeth lightening from the 4 shade, but I'm hopeful to see improvement with continued use. It took a few months to go from probably a 6 to a 4, so I was not expecting immediate results. It is easy enough to plug the light into my laptop in the evening while I'm reading online. Overall, I am hopeful to see improvement with time. At the time of my order, the whitening kit cost $20 and that seems like a great value considering the quality of the light and everything included. I have been very impressed with this product so far! Just a warning, this gel contains peroxide so if you have sensitive teeth you want to take that into consideration. When I first received this product, it was missing the shade card. When I contacted the seller they were immediately helpful and sent me an entire new kit. You compare the shade card to your teeth so you can monitor the whitening progress. You then apply the gel as directed, bite down on the silicone tooth plate, and plug the end into your phone to activate the light that works with the gel. It comes with multiple ends on the cord so it will work with any phone or device. Then you wait the 30 minutes. It was comfortable for me to wear, and I set a timer on my phone to remind me how much time had passed. Nice kit, showed some promising results. Such a nice, easy, personal device and minimal time for treatments. It’s unfortunate the unit doesn’t come with enough product to substantiate purchasing. If more accelerator formula was included, this would probably prove to be a product you’d want to make a part of your healthcare routine. This is a very good teeth whitening kit. As someone who is pretty detail-oriented, my favorite feature is the tooth color chart they included. It's a simple addition, but it's perfect for tracking your progress. You can get a clear baseline of where you started and then compare it as you go. I also thought the power cable was a good design; having the multiple adapters (USB-A, Type-C, etc.) on one cord is very convenient. The kit itself is straightforward and easy to use. This whitening kit is a bit more work than simple whitening strips you apply to your teeth, but the results are better.
