Update- I was sent a replacement. It works great. The first one had some weird problems (as seen in original review(, but the company sent me one and I had it in the mail in less than 3 days (without prime). No charge for shipping or return. Anyways, it's a great scale, and that's why I wanted to exchange the faulty one with the same one. I'm glad the replacement works well, cause this scale is very easy to use with the elevated platform. This thing keeps saying "Lo" when I try to turn it on. I have to tap on it and mess with it every time I use it. I need to have a food scale, so having to return it while waiting for another one is really going to mess up my strict diet. I wish they would send me one and let me try to use this one while I'm waiting for the new one to arrive. Also, amazon didnt email me the return number. I shouldve just bought a different one from a department store. It's always a risk when you buy Chinese products through amazon. Read more

I bought one of this scale 25 years ago and used it 3 times every day to measure pet food. It started toget a little flakegy so I bought this same one. Love it. It now measures to a te nth of a gram. Read more

This is the second time I've purchased this exact scale. The first one last nearly 8 years before finally dying. I researched around for a different one, but settled on this again as it's simple to use, easy to clean, inexpensive, and accurate. It also looks nice in the kitchen. It's got gram and ounce weights and a tare function. It also has auto-off. I love it for keeping me on track with calories/portion sizes, but my favorite part is that it makes baking so simple. Weighing out ingredients gives you a more accurate end result, but the best part is that it allows you to wash fewer dishes because you can measure directly into your work bowl instead of dirtying measuring cups and spoons. This is a decent kitchen scale that is easy to use, pretty accurate, able to disassembled for cleaning, and overall a good value.... But why power it with a coin battery? There's plenty of room for a pair of AA or AAA batteries in the base. I use the scale twice a day to portion food for pets and I'm putting a coin battery in it about once a month. I don't want to buy coin batteries or keep them on hand. I don't want to remove the little screw in the base to change the coin battery. I have lots of AA and AAA batteries on hand at any given time and I would have preferred this use one of those sizes. That is not a deal breaker by any means. This is a decent kitchen scale for everyday use. I just find the design choice at least as far as the battery to be odd. Read more

This scale works wonderfully to track food intake. Pros - Tare (the ability to tare this device allows you to place bowls and plates on top without having any extra weight recorded) - Size (this is a small scale that takes up very little space) - Measurements (you get to decide between which unit of measurements you want to use. You can use grams or ounces.) - Battery (runs off a long lasting lithium battery that comes with the product) Cons - Glass top (could be breakable, but seems sturdy and with care should not be a problem) Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. Bought this to replace a Cusinart scale, needless to say there is no comparison, it is small, has no backlight in the display and it weighs in 1/10 of an ounce and I don't know about anyone else but all my recipes are written in 1/8th of an ounce. Its not too much problem to convert but unless you are weighing a 1/2 ounce you will be out a tenth of an ounce for the rest of the ounce, not a big deal as a tenth on an ounce in only a pinch or two of ingredients but for the price you can't go wrong. I might add that I paid $50 for my Cusinart and it only lasted a year, I can buy nearly three of these for that price. I will keep it but when it breaks I won't buy another I will get something a little better. No I can't recommend it but then thats just my opinion, others may be quite happy with it. Read more

After going through 3-4 food scales due to water damage from cleaning them with a damp paper towel - I bought one of these and it lasted by far the longest. The others were the flat kind that were thin with only one level - unlike this one where the screen is detached from the measuring surface. I would definitely not recommend any other type of scale for food. The first one lasted me well over a year and only stopped working after I boxed it up in my move. After that it would turn on but not register any weight. I could not find anything similar at this price that I liked so I ordered a second on Amazon (the first I bought in store). I have had this one now for 7 months and it has worked perfectly. If you need to clean it, the glass part is removable so you can wipe it down or stick it in the dishwasher (maybe never tried it in the dishwasher). I mainly use this for meal prepping so all the food going on it is placed into a container. This has definitely helped it last longer and not needing to be cleaned much. 100% would recommend and buy again. If this one breaks, I would buy another because it still has lasted longer than any other scale I bought before. Read more
