Got this to replace a digital scale I bought about three years ago, it remembered your weight profile yada yada yada and ate batteries like a shark on a feeding frenzy! every time I went to use it stand on it and 20 seconds later "LO". This scale uses AAA batteries not $5.00 CR2032's. Has neglected my weight for close to year following an injury 235lbs to 286lbs.:) started new program 1/1/24 will be 279 or so by Tuesday only 85 lbs to go and this scale will let me know in 10 seconds in bright red letters when I have made it really like it -Simple and Functional :) Read more

Much better than those "smart" scales that eat through batteries like no other. Had this thing for months weighing myself daily and still on the original batteries. Would have gone through 2 or 3 sets by now with my smart scale. This is also very accurate it weighs 45lb weight plates spot on. Read more

I chose this scale over other similar ones becuase it was supposedly larger. The Product Dimensions ‏were advertized as 14.25 x 14.3 x 2.4 inches. But those are the dimensions of the box it came in. The scale is actually 11.8 x 11.8 x 1.4 inches, which is stated on the box. But I'll keep it, becuase none of the other scales are any bigger. I think the display is LED, not LCD, which is why the display is so bright. LCD's require a backlight, LED's are light-emitting. I love the bright red LED display, which I can read in the dark. I don't have to turn the lights on to read it when I get up early in the morning. Mine had a loose lid on the battery compartment, but that's O.K. Read more

This is the update. Now the scale has a mind of it’s own. My weight read out can vary nearly 2 pounds in less than 10 minutes. I’ll get on the scale and register 160 lbs. If I do that 3 or 4 times in a couple of minutes it will always be 160. If I wait 10 minutes while I shave and brush my teeth and get on the scale I can be as much 162 lbs and when I wait a for the scale to clear it will be 162 lbs every time. It could be 159 lbs. It varies. Now a 2 pound difference isn’t life changing, but it is frustrating. It also seems to have some kind of memory as the new weight reading will be repeated. Kind of disappointing, but not life changing. I highly recommend this unit and can’t think of why you should not buy one if you like a well designed scale that is not only pleasing to the eye, but quite accurate. There’s no on-off switch, just hop on get the bad news and hop off. You can do that several times in a short period of time hoping it will drop a pound or two, but that just doesn’t happen. It may vary by a tenth of a pound, but that’s rare. Read more
