What I liked the most is that it can be easily adjusted in height, and the top base is quite practical to hold what I need securely. It does not take up much space when it is folded, so it is easy to store or move the best of all is that you can easily take it to all places. Read more

This Starlink Gen 3 Dish Tripod does what it supposed to do, it gets your dish off the ground. It is light weight which is great for RVing but may not be what you want for permanent home use. I plan on using this on the few occasions I can't get a clear sky from my RV flagpole mount and need to move the dish. Pros: • It gets you dish anywhere from 23" - 33" off the ground. • The central shaft has holes approx. every 3" so you can put a pin in to keep the pole from sliding down if the clamp fails. • Not only can you adjust the height and direction of the dish, but you can also adjust the angle which is a plus. • Made of light weight material • Heavy duty stake the won't bend when driving into the ground. Cons: • The included storage bag is very thin and lightweight material. • Starlink Gen 3 dishes are heavy so the base could be a little larger/wider. • The sliding stake attachment is almost worthless. If you slide the legs out all of the way you have a 13 3/4 inch radius for the base. Gen 3 Starlink dishes are heavy and if you have the height adjusted to the max, you might find you are a little top heavy. That is where staking it down could come in handy. Although I applaud the manufacture for trying to come up with a solution, they executed it very poorly. First you cannot attach the stake attachment with the legs fully extended, as they have to be only about halfway extended to install it. This reduces the tripod footprint down to about a 11" radius further increasing instability if extended to the full height. That is OK you think because you are going to drive a stake into the ground to hold it down. Well, here is the thing, the stake attachment gets mounted to the wing screw that is used to loosen/tighten the legs and can't be tightened down enough to make contact with the stake attachment to hold it in place. So even if staked down the tripod it can tip forward as the wing screw can travel up the elongated slot in the stake attachment causing the tripod to tip. The slot should have been milled further down the attachment for this to work properly or attached to the tripod using a different screw. Still a decent light weight tripod for your Gen 3 dish for occasional use. You can even use the included stake to stabilize the tripod in different ways than the suggested method. Read more

The Starlink Tripod Mount Gen 3 is a thoughtfully designed accessory for outdoor Starlink setups, offering portability and adjustable angles for better satellite signal reception. Its compact foldable design makes it ideal for RV trips, camping, and temporary outdoor installations. Functionality: The tripod provides basic support for the Starlink Gen 3 dish, and the 90° tilt adjustment allows for improved signal alignment. It works well on flat, solid surfaces, but its stability on soft or uneven terrain can be inconsistent. Adding spikes or shims helps, but it can still wobble in windy conditions, which may impact signal consistency. Ease of Use: The adjustable height and angle mechanisms are intuitive and convenient. The knob locks allow quick setup between 17 and 37 inches. However, installing the spikes or shims to stabilize the tripod can be cumbersome, especially in sandy or rocky environments. Quality: The carbon steel construction with powder coating and corrosion-resistant components gives the tripod a solid, durable feel. It holds up well to outdoor elements, though the metal parts can be heavy for carrying over long distances, which slightly limits its portability. Fit and Design: Specifically designed for Starlink Gen 3, the tripod fits the dish perfectly and allows proper alignment. The foldable design is compact, making it travel-friendly, but the footprint is small, which compromises stability in outdoor conditions. Value for Money: This tripod offers moderate value. It is convenient and portable for casual outdoor use, but for frequent setups in windy or uneven environments, a heavier or more robust mount might be necessary. Overall Insight: The Starlink Gen 3 Tripod Mount is a decent, lightweight solution for temporary setups. It excels in portability and angle adjustment but falls short in stability under challenging outdoor conditions. Ideal for light-duty camping or travel use, but not the best choice for permanent or high-wind installations. Read more
