I like this packaging. The instructions say to dampen a toothbrush and dip it into the container, so I was concerned that it might clump up, hold moisture, or get generally nasty in there, but it seems to dry out nicely every time, no problem. Looking at the lid, I wonder if it's designed to let moisture out by not in. Anyway, it works. The powder itself foams up like crazy when you brush with it. It tastes...not great. It's like unflavored powder. Imagine brushing with baking soda and corn starch and that's probably the same flavor. And it's abrasive. Makes sense, as the main ingredient is limestone powder. I'm not sure if all of the ingredients are ideal for your mouth, but it does say to rinse afterward, so I do, vigorously. Does it whiten teeth? I'm still not positive. My teeth are already very white, but after using it I do get a sense that they're just a touch whiter. Placebo? Not sure, but I think there's some actual efficacy in this product. At $8.99, and with the expectation that it's going to last a SUUUUUPER long time, I'd say it's worth a try. Read more

I drink too much tea and coffee something to support my whitening toothpaste is welcome. This purple powder comes as a two pack that you can sprinkle on your toothbrush. Instructions stay to brush teeth for two minutes with it. Both hubby and I removed the sprinkle top as it makes a mess and instead just dip the tip of our toothpaste into the purple powder. Whereas I try to brush my teeth for two minutes, most times I don't brush that long. All that said, I've been using this for about two weeks, at least once a day. No sensitivity issues. It's hard to say if it's really whitening my teeth as I cannot visually see a difference, but with anything, this will take time. I am continuing to use this daily. Read more

This is a unique product that purports to whiten and brighten your teeth within 1 to 3 months. The instructions tell you to start brushing your teeth like usual, and then to sprinkle the powder on your damp toothbrush and brush for an additional 3 minutes. The powder is a bright purple color and reminds me of the purple brightening shampoo that people use to brighten gray hair. It had a minty taste. I found it difficult to get the powder onto my toothbrush--it didn’t stick very well, and tended to fly all over the bathroom counter and make a mess. I tried different techniques to get the powder to stick to the toothbrush, but none of them were very successful. Then, brushing for an additional 3 minutes after I had already brushed my teeth felt like an excruciatingly slow process. I didn’t notice any whitening or brightening, or any difference in my teeth at all, but I confess that I did not use it consistently for the one-month period, because I found it to be clunky and unpleasant to use.
