I haven't tested the battery life and there is no remote control that I know of (that was the suggested things you talk about). It is simple and works very well. I can't remember how much I paid for it but I am very happy with it's design. I like the 3 colors with options to make it brighter or darker the light cast isn't the strongest but it's good to bring light to something close (it won't work if it's far) but I also didn't expect it to be like that. This is a cool idea, and I have used it a lot more than I thought I would. It improves how I look on FaceTime by removing shadows, and I can adjust the warmth and brightness. Makes the phone easier to hold on to, and it doesn’t fall out of my pocket as easily. It is rechargeable.but I haven’t had to do that yet. The mirror is smart.
