This thing works great. It may take a bit more time than you might think the first time you sharpen your knives with it, but it is super easy to keep them sharp once you get that edge. It can be a bit tricky on fillet knives or paring knives due to the magnet thickness, but it's overall a fantastic tool. Super easy to use and it takes the guesswork out of sharpening angles. The sharpener worked well with my 3 favorite knifes. The knifes were so sharp cutting raw meats like rib eyes, whole chicken, and deboning fish was so much easier and safer with less effort. I have to be really careful because the cutting edge is so sharp it will cut through my prepping gloves and I would not even notice it. Once you get the edge sharp it only takes a few seconds to maintain the cutting edge. The key is being patient using very light pressure only while sharpening. Read more

I have never attempted to sharpen my own knives before. I have some older Henckles and some newer Wustof that needed to be sharpened, but I didn’t have any place here to get it done. I just used the knife sharpener today and was so pleased with the ease of use and the results. My knives are sharp against! I don’t like complicated instructions, so this is perfect because it is so easy and quick. It will definitely make it easier to have sharp knives without traveling to someone and paying more than the cost of the sharpener for one set of knives to be sharpened. This sharpener worked great for my standard butcher knife. However, while it is advertised for ALL knives, it is too large to work with my pairing knife. The magnet pulls the blade down making the rolling stone hit the top of the angled block. I asked customer service about it and they referred me to a YouTube video showing me how to adjust the blade when using a smaller knife. Virtually everyone on that video commented on how this simply just does not hold the blade in the appropriate spot like it shows on the video. Customer service then offered a mini Tumbler sharpener meant for pairing knives - nearly the same price as the original sharpener. While I like it for my butcher knife, I would not have purchased for this price, had I known it would only work with one of my knives. Read more
