The 5th season was my favorite season thus far, however the 6th has definitely matched that, if not succeeded it! There are a couple of slow episodes this season that were kind of frustrating to watch while the season was on TV, however I think I was so frustrated with them only because the storyline was getting so intense and I couldn't stand to wait a week to see the next outcome! Some of my favorite episodes are from this season now! "No Way Out", "The Next World" - where something happened that I have been wanting to happen since the 3rd season, but never thought actually would!, "Not Tomorrow Yet"."The Same Boat" and "Last Day on Earth" - This was the most intense 90 minutes of television I have ever watched. Not because of any sort of crazy action or weird twist, but because they played up the tension the whole episode. Every commercial break I had to just breath and calm down before it started right back up again. The acting was superb (especially from Andrew Lincoln who does not get the kind of credit he deserves from all of his amazing performances on this show), so much so that I could just feel the anxiety, worry, and dread coming off of him. It made me have knots in my stomach. I love this show and I have never more thoroughly enjoyed the characters, the writing, the acting, and the storytelling of any other show. Read more

Look... I am so sick of Walking Dead "fans" that moan & complain about every single episode. This show is as close to perfection as you will find out there... and if there is any doubt about that, then exhibit A is Season 6. The show started great and has improved year after year. For me--an actual fan and not a "fan"--Season 6 is my favorite. The writing is tight and the performances are award worthy... and, just a quick tangent--speaking of awards: why is a show with incest, dragons and frozen zombies heavily nominated for Emmies and a far more realistic show with regular zombies snubbed year after year? Don't get me wrong--I love Game of Thrones--but it just seems so wrong. Is it cause one show is based on a literary book and the other is based on a comic book? If so, I have to say, at least Robert Kirkman actually continues to write and finish his projects in a timely fashion... ya' hear me over there, Mr. R.R. Martin? Anyhow... Season 6 is, in my honest opinion, absolute perfection! And if you are, in fact, one of THOSE "fans" and all you do is complain... may I suggest you go watch a show you actually enjoy, like Big Bang Theory or some other inane swill, and let the actual fans of TWD appreciate the show we so dearly love. Thanks! Buh-bye and hope this helps. Read more
After reading the other reviews, I hesitated to buy the Limited Edition at the original price. When it was on the Amazon Deals for $99.99, I took the plunge. Still slightly disappointed that even at that price, it was the most I had paid for one of these Limited Edition sets, yet didn't do anything special like the other seasons' limited editions. (Two had moving parts, one lit up, and season five at least had a sliding top to access the DVDs in the hidden compartment.) For this, I deducted one star. As for the season itself, I give it 5 stars. Loved seeing some of the back-story episodes, like how Morgan learned his fighting skills and pacifism, as well as leading up to the season finale. And no, I was not upset at all at the cliff-hanger at the end of the season. I had read the graphic novels and enjoyed seeing the new characters come to life and new communities being introduced, as well as some iconic moments from the graphic novels. Read more

Delivered quickly! As far as WD season 6 goes, you cannot go wrong with this series. FWD flash forwards in the beginning of each episode make this season a bit confusing at times , and it slows up a bit in parts, but the cliffhanger at the end will have you counting down the days for another year until season 7 arrives for sale! The latter seasons of this series have less gore and guts than the season 1 and 2, (but still have more gore than most!) and as the series evolves, our band of heroic and not so heroic survivors in this series faces much more danger from other bands of humans outside the walls of their settlement, --(most of them quite brutal), than they do from the roaming herds of drooling , snarling , rotting, flesh-starved walkers that are always slowly stumbling around that can kill a human in hours with just a bite or a scratch. Central themes are having the courage and stomach to fight, and TRUST--just who do you trust? And whom do you NOT TRUST when you come across other survivors out on the road while doing supply runs? Also do you preemptively do a surprise attack on another band of humans when you have evidence that they may very likely attack you and raid and pillage your settlement, if you do not do it first? Anyway, have thoroughly enjoyed this series since season one! If you can get past the gore, I very very highly recommend! Read more
