I got this to use as a portable work light, and it is very bright. It is heavy for its size with a nice looking heat sink, and so far seems to be very durable. I ordered this with the intention of making it a portable work light. As soon as it arrived I plugged it in to see how bright it was and I was not disappointed. The exterior is made of thick aluminum not only for heat dissipation but it also allows for handling the light after and while its on. The lens over the LED panel seems thick and not easily broken, overall the appearance of this light is premium and would be great as a permanent fixture as well as my purposes as a mobile light. The size makes it perfect for working under a hood, under a car, or anywhere you just need light. By mounting it to a magnetic base I am able to stick it to metal, clamp it over a ledge, or hang it with the included eyelet. In general I am impressed by this light and at the price point it beats several other lights designed for my purposes and out performs them as well. Read more

I have 5 or 6 bay lights and wanted to add another. All are 150 watts and all put out a great amount of light. This one is plug in which is what I like, not hardwired. The brightness seems very close to all the others I have. This one is priced little better at $38. It's all aluminum heat sinks work well but it does get hot to the touch. I think it may need a little bit bigger reflector like the rest of them have. This one has flow through design heat sinks which limit the reflector size. Overall a very good value. Read more

If you need a BRIGHT light, this should do it. It's best not to look at it. I installed this in my garage, over my electronics workbench. I'm commonly working with small components where a bright light is necessary. I had a fixture with 6 CFL bulbs I was using that was adequate, but this definitely stepped it up a notch. With this level of brightness, eyestrain while soldering is over. Do note that there is no on/off switch, if it is plugged in it is on. As a high bay light, normally they would be plugged into a switched outlet in the ceiling. In my case, I installed an outlet with a switch. There are little plug-in switches that would work, also. The light color is 5000k, which is the daylight tint (not cool white or soft white). Installation is simple - hang it from a hook or chain, plug it in. Done. Being LEDs, I should save money in the long term due to not replacing light bulbs every few months, so money well spent. It has a solid weighty feel that makes one confident in it's quality. Super bright, fairly light weight and compact. It does put off some heat so I’d be curious how efficient it is, but otherwise it will certainly light up a large area well. The heat sink seems well made and it comes on immediately, all in all a good value. Read more

Using this as a garage light and it's absolutely perfect for that. It's super bright, the brightest light I've ever owned. Probably not a good idea to leave pets unattended around it, might hurt their eyes if they look at it too long. Installation was easy and it's a very well made light. It does get a bit toasty after running for a while, but nothing too bad. It's a good bargain at the current price, this is a high quality, super bright light. Read more
