A small thing that’s made a big difference

Sarah W.January 14, 2026✓ Verified purchase

I picked up the TheraICE Migraine Relief Cap on a whim after dealing with frequent tension headaches, and I’m so glad I did. Straight out of the freezer, it’s cold but not painfully stiff. The gel stays flexible so it actually hugs your head instead of just sitting there, and the gentle compression feels incredibly soothing when your head is pounding. I also love that it covers your eyes — the cool + dark combo is perfect when you just need everything to stop for a bit. I’ve used it for headaches, stress-related tension, long screen days, and even sinus pressure, and it’s helped every time. It doesn’t leak, isn’t messy, and it’s easy to toss back into the freezer when I’m done. It’s also really comfortable. The inside is soft, it doesn’t feel too tight, and I can even wear it while lying down without it sliding around. If you deal with migraines or headaches (or just need a calming reset after a long day), this is one of those simple products that’s genuinely worth having around. Read more

Effective and great quality

Loved this ice cap! It is silky smooth, feels amazing on your head, and cools you down very quick. It stays in place but is so cushy and comfortable. My sister gets migraines and she used it and absolutely loved it! She said nothing usually helps her migraines but this did. My only complaint is that its too cold when u first put it on I have to take it off after 30 seconds, but if you let it warm up just a bit its perfect. Super quality product. I like that it comes with a zip up plastic bag to put it in in the freezer too, to keep it clean. Read more

Read the listing carefully! (washing instructions, freezing instructions)

I wanted to write a review to spare the next buyer from ruining their migraine hat like I did. The hat has a smooth sleek fabric texture, a comfortable gel filling, and a slight snugness around the head when worn (that I found really enjoyable). It blocked out light well. When stored in the freezer and then placed on the head it was extremely cold. Even at room temperature it always feels a little cool to the touch, which I enjoyed. I slept like a baby with it on. Two important things: 1. If you're going to put it in a fridge or freezer make sure it is in a sealed bag. 2. It cannot be washed (other than spot treatment). The manufacturer does disclose this information, so I did not deduct rating points for this. I made the mistake of putting my hat in the freezer without a bag and even though my freezer is fairly clean every odor in the freezer leeched into the hat. It stinks. I tried to wear it anyways and the weird stale freezer smell then got onto my sheets as I napped on them. It was at this time I realized the hat is advertised as only being wipe-clean. You are not supposed to submerge it. I wiped it and the smell remained, so I then decided to risk hand-washing it in a wash basin. The hat seemed to be in good condition afterwards, but the smell remained. At this point I decided that the smell was too unbearable and distracting so I had nothing to lose by putting it in the washing machine (with cold water). The washing machine made the fabric lose it's tightness and made the gel filling become lumpy. And if that's not enough, I can still somehow smell the faintest note of the freezer. I'm not sure that it'll be usable in its current condition, but I will try. I liked the product in theory. It was very comfortable and it did help with headaches. For my own preferences though I would have preferred a product that was more durable and washable, especially something that's being placed against your skin that might collect oils, makeup remnants, and other dirt over time that you'd want to wash off. TheraICE Migraine Relief Cap - Works, But Has Its Limits

Brian ParkerSeptember 26, 2025✓ Verified purchase

This cap is a true lifesaver when a headache hits, and the cold-compression feeling is incredibly soothing. It's so much more effective and comfortable than juggling ice packs on your head. When it first comes out of the freezer, it's VERY cold, which can be a little overpowering. The gel packs conform nicely to your head and provide a good amount of pressure. The cap is comfortable and the material is soft, so it doesn't add any extra irritation. It's great that I can just slip it on and relax without having to hold anything in place. The fit is snug but not too tight, and the dark color helps block out light, which is a huge plus during a migraine attack. My one major critique, and the reason for the 4-star review, is that it warms up much faster than I would like. You don't get a lot of cooling time out of it before it starts to lose its effectiveness. For a short, sharp headache it's perfect, but for a longer, more stubborn migraine, I find myself having to put it back in the freezer after only about 15-20 minutes. If the cooling effect lasted longer, it would be a perfect 5-star product. Overall, it's a very useful tool for migraine sufferers, and it's something I reach for constantly. Just be prepared to have a second one on standby, or be near your freezer for a quick recharge. Read more

Good for headache relief

Jeffrey Allen WoodFebruary 23, 2026✓ Verified purchase

These get very cold. I havn't determined exactly how long it takes, but it is less than 24 hours. I wear a 2xl motorcycles helmet so I think I have a rather large melon. This fits, with some level of compression which you may want for headache treatment. I've found for me personally I pull it from the freezer and wait 5-10 minutes for it to warm up some before using because they can be painfully cold at first. They hold temperature a decent amount of time. Maybe 20-45 minutes. Overall I do recommend it for headache sufferers. Read more
