Update, so door failed to open today. It will open from inside but does not engage when unlocking from outside. I'm going to take it apart and see if it's fixable and will update. All in all still lasted for 2 year with heavy use. So purchased lock to replace a non smart keypad lock and I will start by saying it was a replacement and then some. Let's start with instalation, quick and easy instructions for switching from right to left hand was super easy and install took less the 30 mins. The unit came with 2 physical keys and 2 rf keys, the rf keys were very easy to program as was the custom pin numbers for the lock. I opted to also go with the wifi gateway to give remote access for those times that you just can't remember if you locked the door (not a problem if you leave default settings to auto lock) the finger print reader is accurate but a little slow on unlock in comparison to the reader on a smartphone for instance. Over all I feel like the quality of the unit is great and I have had no problems with the operation with all methods of unlocking. Read more
I've had some nosy roommates who like to take visits through my room when I'm at work, so I bought this door handle for a little privacy and fingerprint scanner so I don't have to carry a key. It works absolutely awesomely, software setup was a little bit tedious, but the actual installation into my door was surprisingly easy, I was able to just do it on my own. As far as I can tell it isn't WIFI enabled, so don't buy it for long distance control but the ability to add different fingerprints and codes for different people is pretty awesome. Overall not a crazy amazing fingerprint scanner it works around 70% of the time first try but for the price its awesome. It has anti peeping stuff or whatever so u can add random digits to your password if you don't want someone peering over to see it which is pretty cool. So far I've had it in my door for a little over a week with no issues, it does use AAA batteries which are NOT INCLUDED, so make sure u have at least 4 AAA batteries on hand. Beyond that for the price it's an awesome smart door handle if you're looking for fingerprint and nfc tag usability, but don't care for long distance usage. As far as I can tell there wasn't any Alexa or smart home integration but it could have been buried in the app so I'm not sure. Read more
I had a very disappointing experience with the TMEZON Smart Door Lock. Unfortunately, the unit I received appeared to be defective and did not function properly with the locking mechanism once installed. After mounting the lock according to the instructions, the latch and internal mechanism would not align or engage correctly with the door hardware. Because of this malfunction, the lock repeatedly jammed when attempting to lock or unlock the door. At one point the mechanism failed entirely and left the door stuck in a locked position, which briefly locked me out until I was able to force the mechanism open. In the process, the malfunctioning lock caused damage to the door where the latch and strike plate sit. A smart lock should add convenience and security, but this product did the opposite. Instead of reliable keyless entry, it created a frustrating and inconvenient situation. Given the defective mechanism and the damage it ultimately caused to my door, I would not recommend this product. Read more
The media could not be loaded. Solid, stylish door handle, with a lot of different functionality! The code entry is expected, and works exactly as described.. but the great features of this door handle/lock is the fingerprint and card options. Fingerprint is easy to set up, quick to open, and easy to use. You can set up 100 fingerprints, so everyone in your family can have access without a key. And it also includes 4 small cards to attach to key chains, or keep wallet for easy access if needed. Both work great and make locking/unlocking the door a breeze. It also includes 2 standard keys as backup. Seems really solid and well made. And has a stylish look. Read more
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this for the door leading from my garage into my kitchen. I didn’t want to have another key nor have to punch in a code, and I needed something I could install myself (I’m a capable 70 year old grandma but didn’t want to do any drilling into my door). It was easy to install and works perfectly by putting my thumb on the handle. Voila! The door unlocks!! The fingerprint was easy to program but I haven’t been able to get the code to program. And beware, when the batteries go dead the lock just doesn’t open, it gives no warning and you could be locked out of your space if the batteries are on the other side of the door handle (it happened to me so I had to use another entrance to get into my house). This smart door lock offers multiple unlocking options including fingerprint scanning, numeric codes, IC cards, manual keys, and mobile app access. It operates via Bluetooth through the Tuya app, allowing for local control and temporary code generation with time restrictions. A log feature provides insight into usage, which can be helpful for tracking access by guests or service personnel. Installation is manageable with basic tools, though fitting adjustments may be needed for non-standard door sizes. The fingerprint scanner and keypad may require multiple attempts at times, while the mobile app tends to be more consistent. The lock uses AAA batteries (not included) and has a backup power option via USB in case of battery failure. The handle also includes a manual locking switch and anti-peeping features for added privacy. It does not appear to support remote control through Wi-Fi or smart assistants like Alexa, but functions well for close-range, Bluetooth-based access. Suitable for adding privacy and basic security to interior doors. Read more
