THE best toothpaste. We switched to Toms of Maine Botanically Bright toothpaste almost 2 years ago and will NEVER go back to the big brands (Crest, Colgate). It takes about a week to get used to the feeling and flavor but you can FEEL how clean this toothpaste is right away. I love that its flouride and SLS free and it doesn't leave a film on our teeth/mouth. If you try the big brands after getting used to this one they seem so toxic and full of chemicals-yuck! We've had no issues with the health of our teeth since switching- great feedback from our dentists. Highly reccomend! Read more

Our family has been using this toothpaste for years, and it’s a great product. Excellent taste and not too gritty on the teeth. Best part is that it’s fluoride free and has lots of natural ingredients. Read more

The only one that doesn’t irritate my gums. Needed an SLS-free toothpaste. The others taste bad or are really expensive. This has a nice light taste. Read more

Tom's Toothpaste is an excellent dental product, with some tubes available free of sodium laurel sulfate (SLS). Therefore, those tubes of paste don't cause mouth irritation or sloughing off of epithelial tissue, Many SLS-containing dental products do lead to that problem for some people. I had a minor but aggravating deterioration of mouth and lip tissues, and a light burning sensation. My dentist said it was most likely caused by the SLS in the toothpastes I'd been using. After a few days of brushing only with Tom"s, the problem got better, and in a week or so it was gone. (However, Tom's also does not contain flouride, which some people would want.) A caution though: In some recent shopping I found packages of Tom's Toothpaste that DID have sodium laurel sulfate, SLS, listed on the box ingredients (at Walmart & Marc's stores in Ohio). Use care, read labels, when buying. My only negative regarding my SLS-free Tom's toothpaste was that it rather quickly becomes watery in my mouth. It lacks "body", something to give it firmness, resiliency. Otherwise it's a fine toothpaste. Read more

So, for a couple of years now, for whatever reason, my skin--particularly around my lips/mouth area of course--started to get a really bad reaction to most toothpaste brands. Anything with very strong whitening agents, anything with peroxide, it would dry my mouth out so badly, it was painful and just looked horrible. No matter how much I tried to hydrate, moisturize, or exfoliate. It was frustrating. I tried children's toothpaste, I've tried basic toothpaste, I've tried Sensodyne. My mouth would still get really dry and my lips would crack. From research, I figured SLS-free toothpaste would be worth trying. I gave Tom's a try. It was great! Not only did my teeth feel really clean and refreshed, but I did notice a huge improvement to my skin and lips. It's awesome that it came with a pack of three as well, so it should last me a while. I really found that this toothpaste works better than even Sensodyne. With Sensodyne, my mouth didn't feel as clean after brushing AND, worst of all, my mouth still felt kind of dry. But I feel great using Tom's, especially since they use natural and sensitive ingredients. Read more
