It has been used in many parts of the world. From the winds of Chicago and Sapporo to the sun and rain of Singapore and Athens, and one thing is consistent, it held up well despite the small size. It is very handy and it fits into small bags. The build quality is top notch and is very easy to use. Great value for money. I would definitely buy again, that is, if mine breaks down. Read more

Very lightweight and compact, making it easy to throw in your bag and carry around. It’s not strong enough for high wind conditions but it’s fine for typical rainstorms in New York City. I’ve had heavy duty umbrellas in the past that were designed for high wind conditions but they added a lot of weight to my purse and eventually broke. The reality is that collapsible umbrellas will not last forever, and so you may as well get one that’s portable and won’t injure your back from carrying around. Read more

I bought 3 umbrellas to compared to my mini totes that I used for many years until it developed holes. The totes was discontinued so I tried this one, the Vumos and the Fidus upgraded. Here's my take on each: Totes titan; this was near identical to the one I used before, so this is my everyday single person umbrella. It is small so I can carry it in my jacket pocket or briefcase. Balances lightweight with utility. Vumos: smallest of the 3, but also flimsiest. I returned it. If I want a lightweight small umbrella, I would go with the totes titan Fidus upgraded: this I was most surprised with. It is more heavy duty than the others. Its got 10 legs vs 8 on the others. The material is thicker. So its a bit heavy and larger, doesnt fit as well in a coat pocket. I kept this to use when I travel - it fits well on a backpack or shoulder bag and when I want something stronger. Read more

This is a very pretty umbrella and I was very happy with the looks of it. However, I received this May 10, 2017, and today, May 31st, I carried it with me because it rained. Problem: I cannot open it up all the way. I even had my strong, work-out healthy son try to open it and he couldn't. I am so disappointed but thankful I discovered it now when I still have time to return it. This is a Totes umbrella and I wouldn't expect this to happen because of their good name, but it did. I would not recommend your buying it and I regret not being able to keep it. As I said, it is very pretty, plus the size is great to carry in your purse or the door of your car. So sorry it did not work out. Love the white with the colorful raindrops. Too bad it's so poorly made. Read more

I live in Chicago. It's very windy. Most umbrellas don't even stand a chance. I did a ton of research before I decided to buy this umbrella for my backpack. I also bought two of the larger titan's to keep at home. This umbrella never let me down. It survived through all kinds of things. Until I lost it :-( so I'm buying another one! Strongest mini umbrella ever. Read more

I would give this a "zero" rating if I could. JUNK. 1. 3 to 4 of the ribs will not extend/open and must be adjusted by hand 2. and then, the umbrella will not stay open and collapses. Of course I am returning and will NEVER buy Totes. Did I mention JUNK? Read more

Always dependable but not necessarily long lasting, how can it be when you use it then wad it up and throw it under your car seat? This is a perfect purchase. Read more

I like the portability of this umbrella and can easily carry it in my purse. It's study enough for my liking, but keep in mind it's not huge. However, it's not tiny either. Read more
