Do not buy this crap. Customer and tech support sucks! Avoid at all cost!—August 4, 2025
I tried a smaller unit 8000 btu that stated it cools rooms up to 350sf, it didn’t. So I got this one and oh what a difference. Cools the room from mid to high 70s down to 68 in under an hour. Just make sure to get insulation pads to cover the exhaust hose, it will get hot and will prevent proper cooling Read more

First - this is an excellent air conditioner - the best thing about it is that it is quiet. I had another portable air conditioner, and it was hard to have a chat in the same room with it. You'd need to raise your voice quite a bit. The reason it gets 4 vs 5 stars is the manual is difficult to understand. I gave up (for now) on trying to link it to voice commands, but the remote does a good enough job. To be sure of the control we want, I just walk to the machine and adjust there. Be prepared to have it produce a fair amount of condensation - a bucket to collect it is perfect. If it's humid, it will produce a lot of water, so don't forget to empty the bucket. I turn the device off if I'm not going to be nearby. The exhaust hose works well for my vertical sliders. If you have crank out windows, you will need to do some tweaking to make it work. Tweaking that will be well worth it! The exhaust hose produces quite a bit of heat, so you definitely want to exhaust it to the outside. The hose gets quite warm, so I recommend picking up a portable AC hose insulation wrap. This keeps the heat contained instead of it overcoming or interfering with the cooling. Although the unit is heavy and ungainly in the box, it rolls nicely if you need to move it. I have hard surface floors, so it's super easy to move. The build quality is high - it is not at all flimsy. If I need to take it upstairs I'll need help due to the weight. The inverter technology is a nice feature. You don't have the compressor switching on and off at intervals, so it helps avoid temperature swings and keeps the sound from the unit consistent. I haven't used it long enough to determine if the energy savings it advertises are true, but it's been a hot summer so far, and fingers crossed that is accurate. I recommend this product and am hoping the energy savings end up saving me money! So far it's been keeping me nice and cool - quietly. Read more

Updated: My review has only gotten worse for this AC unit ... or, I should say the seller. The seller reached out to help given the original review below. The agent who helped me was fine, but none of the suggestions they offered made any difference. The AC is running in a 300 sqft room (half of the size this unit is supposed to be able to cool). This room was recently renovated, and fully insulated (floor from underneath, ceiling, and walls) with spray foam. With the AC unit off, it takes hours for the temp in the room to change on its own based on outside temps. That tells me the insulation is working. So, why can't this AC cool the room? The agent had me measure the temperature difference between the back of the unit (where the air comes in) and the front (where the cooled air comes out)... there was a 5 - 7 degree difference. All the other AC units I've got have a difference of more than twice that... most are 3x. But they claimed this unit was operating as expected. There's no way that this unit could cool that much space (even in my almost air-tight room) with that temperature differential, and the small volume of air coming through this AC. I should also point out that the assistance I received was slow-rolled and appears to be timed to conclude just after the 30-day return window has passed. (Not that I wanted to try to return a 70+ lb item that I no longer have the boxes for). So, I'm stuck with a $350 huge paperweight. Lesson learned, don't buy big/bulky items here that aren't from known brands/sellers. Original review: I bought this because I needed a "large" AC unit, and I have smaller windows. This AC claims to be 14k BTU, but there's no way. I have an 8k unit that cools better and faster than this unit. And yet, it still pulls enough power to trip a 15A breaker (with nothing else on the circuit). I will say, it was relatively cheap, around the price of a smaller unit... but I guess you get what you pay for. I will say... its relatively quiet. Read more
