These are unlike any other workout shorts I've tried, but I love them! They have a swimming trunk feel to them, I guess because TYR is a big swimming brand and they seem to be branching out into more general athletic wear. These have a liner so you don't wear underwear with them. The liner does a great job of keeping private parts tucked away without being too tight. The liner's pretty long so there's no risk of being exposed. They're super comfy and feel great no matter how you're moving or stretching. I like the sleek look of the waistband. The ties tuck away on the inside, leaving a clean look on the outside. These have a 6" inseam, so they have quite a sporty look to them. TYR also makes a 9" version if you prefer a longer look. I have both and like them both, although I prefer the sportier look of these 6" shorts. I got a size M, which is my usual size (32" waist), and the fit is absolutely perfect. They are my favorite workout shorts right now. They look great and allow me to perform all necessary movements in my routine without issues. Made with 54% Recycled Polyester, 32% Polyester, 14% Spandex. These shorts hold up very well to my rigorous training. I’m a bigger guy who’s been working on getting fit. I’ve looked at a few pairs of lined athletic shorts before but never picked up any because I was worried they wouldn’t fit. This pair DID fit and feel great for me who usually wears pants with a 42 waist. I really like the look of these. They feel and look like premium-grade running shorts. The zipper phone pocket held my iPhone just fine but I do wish I had a pocket on both sizes of The lined shorts are very comfortable. Unlike netting, this feels like a pair of compression shorts. I’d recommend not trying to layer these on top of any other compression pants or shorts. When I tried the liner just wanted to slide off them. These are currently 60% off, putting them at around $30. That's what I'm used to paying for exercise shorts (instead of the $70) original price tag. So, if they're still on sale, don't think about it much - just get 'em. Tyr is really a great brand for athletic wear and other things. These were unimpressive to me. The sewing is good and I like the side darting around the hips for easier movement. There is only 1 smallish zippered pocket on the side (def did not fit cell phone). The short fabric is only printed on 1 side, the inside is white. The "liner" was uncomfortable- somewhere between tight boxers and baggy boxer briefs. The material is more foundation garment tight than stretchy as opposed to the stretch of the outside shorts especially. I felt like I was wearing starched boxers one size too small- there is not compression support nor is their "freedom". Just binding. I ordered my normal size, even though TYR tends to cut small. If I ordered up, the looseness would have been worse in the liner and bagginess of the shorts more pronounced. These didn't work for me as workout shorts, maybe I'll cut the liner out or use them for swim shorts since they are water beading and dry fast. Read more

At first glance the TYR Men's Athletic Performance Workout Lined Momentum Shorts seem to be a bit expensive. But once you notice the quality of materials and workmanship, the price does start to make sense. These shorts are extremely comfortable: Loose enough to not constrict, but firm enough to be comfortable. The material is soft to the touch, does not chafe and is definitely dries super fast. There is only one zippered pocket - but that's all I need for a music player and my keyes.
