UltraPlush Full Waterproof Mattress Protector - Bedwetting Bed Cover

I bought these protectors four months ago for a seasonal rental, specifically to protect the new high-end mattresses I had put on the beds. Rentals have different people sleeping in them every week, and constant changes of bedding. I spent a lot on the mattresses, and don't look forward to replacing them too soon. I purchased twin, full, and queen protectors, and put them over the mattress pads, hoping to protect both the pads and the mattresses. They have a very nice feel to them, nothing like the crunchy, plastic protectors I recall in rentals growing up. The backside, or working side, is a soft, vinyl-like surface that almost feels too thin to be waterproof. I tested its waterproofness with a tablespoon of water just to be sure. It's important to point out that the waterproof liner extends only across the surface, not the elastic sides, so they won't necessarily prevent a stain from something that hits the mattress on its edge or side. The surface, or the side next to the sheet, is a fine, plush nap. The protectors fit easily over my moderately-deep mattresses and substantial mattress pads. They feel nice under the sheets. The real test was the week I checked the beds and found one protector stained in multiple places with blood, chocolate, or some other I-don't-want-to-know substance. When I lifted it to check the mattress pad, the pad was its original snow white. Nothing went through. I put a little stain remover on the protector and threw it in the wash, tumbled briefly and finished drying on the line. It came out of the wash as good as new; in fact, I might not have needed the stain remover. The fit on the bed didn't change - a big relief, as I think we've all experienced that great-fitting mattress pad that suddenly doesn't fit after its first wash. This incident prompted me to order another set of protectors so I'd always have a spare on hand. Since I've not actually slept on the beds myself, I can't comment on whether it sleeps hot, but it doesn't look like anyone has removed them from the beds either - something I used to do when those awful plastic liners were just too miserable to deal with. These are absolutely the nicest mattress protectors I have ever bought, and believe me I have bought a lot. I ran vacation rentals for a time and wish I had had these protectors! The ones I previously bought were thick, and hard to put on. These are wonderful! Soft and snuggly (Ultra Plush), and very easy to put on. I got this for my daughters new big kid bed. Her toddler size bed had the built in waterproof lining and it worked great for any accidents. We needed something in case there were any accidents in her new mattress. It’s soft and not noisy at all. I actually like that it does t zip up and it covers the mattress like a regular fitting sheet. It’s easier to take off. For my bed we have the full zipper and it’s kinda annoying because I end up doing it mésele rather than getting any help lol. I love that it protects against allergens and other stuff as well. No accidents so can’t really say anything about the liquids and I didn’t want to go out of my way to pour water over it. Read more

Very soft, good for cold weather, not for summer. It does not fit my mattresses tight enough so the cover moves. But I think the thickness is pretty good. I have not spill any liquid on it tho. Read more

For my regular mattress for the last ten months it is as good as I could expect. It is reasonably light in weight and easy to handle. Yes, on a hot night without air conditioning, the sheet gets damp, but it dries quickly. If it lasts 15 years, the protector will be perfect, and a good buy for the high price. I won't look for a better one for another bed. I will buy another protector just like this. Read more

This is now my go-to for mattress protectors! I ordered a full and a king and both fit perfectly. It is super soft and super quiet, you can't even tell there's a mattress protector on the bed. After only a week it was put to the test when a bottle of blue Gatorade leaked all over the bed and went unnoticed for a few hours. There wasn't a single stain on the mattress. Not only that, but the blue completely washed out of the protector with just a normal wash and no stain remover. Would definitely buy again! Read more

Several years ago I had bought a Serta mattress encasement for another mattress. That product still has all of its tags attached but I didn't find out until after I had bought the one I am reviewing that the brand was Serta. I did find one today for about $80, so I probably wouldn't have bought that one had I found it in time. I have put the new protector on my new mattress. The mattress is a pillow-top, and I could feel sort of bumps from the quilting of the padded layer. I don't feel them anymore with the protector on the mattress, even though it is very thin.The full-size protector fits my 11" thick full-size mattress perfectly, but it would probably also fit a thicker full-size mattress. I am glad that my new mattress is now protected against the inevitable spills and that I am actually sleeping more comfortably (even though that was not my point in buying the protector). I do regret a bit that it is not a full encasement, which would have kept the mattress mite-free forever. How important that is, though, is unclear.
