If you like metroidvanias I'd say give it a whirl! The game is not too challenging, which might be a turn off for some! It's one of those games you play to relax and just vibe with! The Gameplay is metroidvanias with some rogue lite elements so the game resets itself after each major objective completed, on top of that there is a simple gardening mechanic with different plant types that will help you on your adventure with opening up new areas and making traversal through the sarcophagus more accessible, it's unique enough to be quite fun to experiment with the plants at different parts of the map! The art style definitely puts this one above the rest as it just pops off the screen and the different environments are unique and varied! The soundtrack is atmospheric with some pretty catchy bangers to boot,some of it I remember after playing, but a lot of it is kinda forgettable! Overall if you like this style of game then you will enjoy it for sure, if not then wait for a price drop and give a try then! I was hyped for ultros and it delivered! When it comes to the deluxe part of this package you get a digital code that gets you the digital art book and soundtrack which is locked behind a dedicated app on the PlayStation store sadly. The reversible cover is nice and the magnet is proudly on my refrigerater which makes the deal that much sweeter! Read more

Hey so this game takes a minute to engage and then it’s super fun and beautiful. Another really wonderful feature is that when you fail at the jumping portion your character reloads. So no need to fret nightmare inducing jumps in the vacuum of speed. The gameplay is beautiful and unique. Have I taken the time to really stop and figure things out? Not really, but that’s the good thing about this game- if you just want to play it for the aesthetic, you can. Alternatively, if you want to focus on uncovering the story, it’s there for you. I would highly recommend this game it’s clever and unique. Read more

It’s ok… the font related to in game story is hard to read for the time allowed to read it. I have a large TV and I still have trouble. Game play is Metroid-like, though moving about the game doesn’t have enough explanation as to why you are supposed to be intrigued to be on the journey. Update: Aside from the poor choice in font, the game is amazing! There’s a point that, when you get past the basic game play, it really opens up and is quite fun! Glad I took a chance. Read more
