I have several hub-type adapters already, and while I can always find uses for another, I picked this one up specifically for the Ethernet port—everything else is just icing on the cake. I’ve been doing a lot of tinkering with older laptops that were pushed into early Windows retirement, mostly experimenting with different Linux distros. A few times I ran into the classic problem: no internet because I was missing a driver, and no way to download the driver without a connection to the internet. Having a dedicated Ethernet port completely solved that issue and let me skip the whole flash-drive workaround. Port selection is better than what you usually see on basic hubs: HDMI, Ethernet (LAN), 2× USB-A 3.0, USB-C 3.0, and a USB-C PD 100W port for charging your device through the hub (charging only—no data transfer on that port). This is a USB-C hub, so you’ll need an adapter for older devices that only have USB-A ports. The hub is made from an aluminum alloy, so it feels sturdy without being heavy. It’s compact enough that it works well as a travel accessory. I’ve used every port multiple times. Aside from a basic internet speed test on the Ethernet connection—which performed in line with my normal wired speeds—I didn’t run any formal benchmarks, but everything has worked exactly as expected. So far I’ve used it with multiple PCs (Windows 10 and 11), both desktops and laptops, a Chromebook, and a couple of older laptops running Linux distros. No issues at all—everything was plug-and-play. My Chromebook only has one USB-A and one USB-C port, so this hub has seen a lot of use there. For one older computer without USB-C, I did need an additional adapter to convert USB-C to USB-A, so if your device doesn’t have USB-C ports, that’s something to factor in. If all you really want is a basic hub with some extra USB ports this might be more than you need. This is a versatile, well-built multi-port hub that works reliably across a wide range of devices. I got the intpw USB hub to use as a docking station when traveling. Like most tablets my tablet only has one connection/port which is a USB C connection on the bottom. This USB C hub gives my the ability to plug into that one port and then be able to hook up a keyboard & mouse, a SSD hard drive, and a network cable which is a full speed duplex 1000/1000, all while charging the tablet. This gives me the functionality of a full laptop but only having to pull carry my tablet! All of the ports are clearly labeled so it is really easy to tell where to plug in your cables/devices. Speaking of ports, the HDMI cable port is great as well because when I am at a hotel I can plug my tablet into the TV and either watch shows off of my SSD or stream movies without having to put my login info into random hotel TV's. I also like the narrow profile for this hub which makes it easy to fit into a tech pouch. And last but not least, this hub has PD100W pass through which lets my charge my laptop at full speed without getting the "slow charger" warning, making this a very versatile hub/docking station.
