A good buy for the money
Worked just fine. Used it to avoid the clutter when using the front ports. It's plugged into a USB 3.0 port which is my fastest port. Everything plugged into works fine. I don't have the technical knowledge to see if this speeds up or slows down my data transfers. As far as I am concerned, it is a good buy for the money. Read more

Better than some, not wonderful
So its built reasonably well and both of my 3.2 capable pc's added the device on windows 11, windows 10 and linux but just using one single 3.2 nvme storage device having this in between them cuts the speed by about 60% and that includes using an outboard type c power supply to make sure the drive had enough power, and does the same thing on both pc's and all 3 operating systems, plus the cable is pretty thin for my taste and thin wiring usually goes hand in hand with slower speeds and poor charge time. I have been an electronic technician and IT for 20+ years and there should not be this much insertion loss. Does it work? yes but it has never done the supposedly capable speed, and don't plan on this being great as a charger either. At least the price was somewhat fair but I had hoped for better results. It does work well for keyboards, mice and usb audio though but not high speed large file transfers, so that's why I gave it 3 stars. I have seen a lot worse that was more expensive. Read more
