Super cute and convenient! It’s small enough for travel, so I can slip it right into my bag. Plenty of manicure tools in this set! Everything you need in one little package! Nippers are sharp, so no tugging at hang nails. I cleaned mine with alcohol before using them, and I also clean them with alcohol after using them. No issues with the alcohol messing with the metal. So, the nail kit as a nail kit is pretty nice. The case and all the pieces are nice, the black is pretty classic and not cheap and all the cutting edges are really, really sharp. There are almost too many tools for me though and I kind of wish that there were instructions or a name or something for each tool just because it's really up to your imagination what to do with them. Am I using the right tool for cuticle work? I dunno but the job gets done well enough. The pimple tool is pretty interesting and once you know how to poke the spot and then use the loop to finish it is pretty cool. The nail file isn't as good as a nice sandpaper file, almost like it's too coarse to really even use but it'll work in a pinch. If you pair this kit with one of those multi-surface foam sanding sticks you can get a really nice manicure. TBH, I'd trade few tools for a mini version of one of those multi-surface things. We had a lot of various kits and tools in the bathroom drawer that I wanted to compress down into a single kit that would be just as capable but more compact and better organized. This product seemed to fit the bill and at an inexpensive price point. It had all the tools from all the other kits plus a couple more. They seemed well built and we got a lot of use out of them. It was such a great kit that I bought another couple for our travel bags. And that's about where the good starts to turn to bad. I think what happened is the company made a batch of this kit, it sold well, and they made another batch. That second batch, I suspect, was a bit cheaper with poorer materials, construction, and quality control. I say this because the second and third kits I bought left a lot to be desired. First, the kits seemed less well packaged and more just like they were casually tossed into the case. Then the cases themselves began falling apart, and I mean bad. The case is several layers of various materials sandwiched into a metal frame and a short time after those kits were put into use those layers started separating from that metal frame. So now I'm in a position where I have a completed kit of appropriate tools in a well organized case that is falling apart. That said, the tools themselves are great, and the only reason this product is getting 3 stars instead of 1. They're sharp, precise, durable, and relatively comfortable to use. I have no real complaints about the tools themselves, just the poor cases. Which, for the reason stated at the beginning of this review, is kind of a big deal for me. I’ve had this nail kit for about two years now, and it has held up really well. It’s still fully functional and in good condition, which says a lot about the quality. The tools are sturdy, sharp where they need to be, and comfortable to use. None of the pieces have bent or broken, and the kit still meets my needs for nail care. The case has some minor cosmetic wear, but it still keeps everything organized and secure. Overall, this has been a reliable nail kit that has lasted much longer than cheaper alternatives I’ve owned in the past.
