I have hypothyroidism and have been struggling with hair loss, thin nails, and dry skin really bad. A naturalist friend of mine as well as my mom kept telling me to take collagen to help these issues since the thyroid meds hadn't quite solved the problems alone yet. This isn't the end all cure or anything but I do think it's help with some improvement. My nails use to lift off my nail beds if I got acrylics, for the first time ever my nails haven't done that since I got them done a week ago! Good stuff! Needs to be diluted in hot liquid, IMO, as I tried it in some juice and it got clumpy and the smell was definitely stronger. Coffee is the way to go. The first few cups you can smell it (good news: there really isn't a taste to it) but then after a few uses either my nose got used to it or my coffee covered it up. In thinking about the affect on my joints (which was the main reason I was trying collagen), I can't really say if it works or not. It's been about a month since I started using this and I *think* it's working, but it's hard to tell. I have RA and was hoping to see a dramatic affect on my lower back pain. . . which is better, but this has not had the dramatic affect some other reviewers mention. I bought this products after reading reviews because I am suffering hair loss from taking Wegovy for weight loss for a 15 months 65 lbs . I discovered that I was not getting enough protein in my diet. So I needed to step it up. Many have recommended their protein supplements but I did my own research. The one I am using has no taste or smell it mixes easily in my coffee. I don’t like sugar or flavored creamer just a little 2 percent milk. I wasn't sure about using collagen but I am a true believer! The main reason I tried this was to improve my skin. Honestly, I don't see that much of a change to my skin after using this for about 3 weeks but my hair has grown faster than normal.....the best part was also very unexpected! I have been dealing with an mcl injury and this seems to be easing that pain. I didn't get this product to help with that and it never occurred to me that it would help my knee! What a great surprise! It is less expensive than other brands but it works well! I put it in my morning coffee. It doesn't change the flavor or the consistency of my coffee. It mixes very well.
