High is NOT hot. Yes, 140* is not hot. But it will keep you warm. The cut of this vest is straight cut, so be aware of your hip measurements. The zipper does not open from the bottom to allow for ease. The result is that the vest folds up from the hip area. The vest is well constructed. I think it will last. This 12V vest heats up much faster than other non-12V vests and it gets really warm. One thing to note is that it runs large and also runs long. I normally wear a women’s US size 6 and a size Small jacket/t-shirt. I ordered a XS in this and it fits well. My only complaint is that it is a little longer than most outdoor industry branded vests, and I say that as someone with a long torso. Fit is otherwise flattering. Build quality is nice, though I wish the logo and the buttons/lights that run during operation were smaller and more discreet, more like Ororo. I tried Ororo but they do not heat as quickly and maintain heat as well, though their styling seems more discreet. Both hand pockets have a nice high pile plush fleece on the inside and so does the napoleon pocket on the outside. Read more
