The OCD side of me took a few days to decide which vertical tech organizer I wanted for my work space - SO happy I decided to purchase this one - you can adjust ALL the slots (which I would up needing because I wanted my iPad to sit in the middle slot w protective cover - it would’ve never fit in the other organizer I was looking at - off by just a few mm!). This one is metal, has silicone layer to protect gear in slots and underneath so it doesn’t slip, hefty metal (unlike other plastic ones), the end slots allow you to prop up phone or tablet for viewing … seriously - don’t even bother w other ones - this one is the most versatile and sturdy, and I am SO happy I decided on this one! I have three laptops that I need for work, and have them connected to a KVM switch for ease of use. However, there was no place to really store them in a manner that didn't make a mess of my desk. Stacking them would have created overheating and, well, that's just a bad thing for laptops. While searching Amazon for a solution, I came across the vertical laptop holders. Outstanding! I thought to myself, that will be just the solution. However, the less expensive ones were cheaper in price AND quality. I wanted something that was stable and solid. (Would hate to explain to my employer that I killed their equipment with plastic junk, and I sure has heck don't want to buy a new one for myself, but I digress). This thing is heavy metal, and has a soft bottom so that it doesn't scratch my desk. My desk was overflowing with laptops -- a 15" HP Elitebook for work, a 15" Dell XPS personal laptop, and a 15" MacBook for playing music. Most laptop stands only hold one or two laptops, but I got this one specifically because I had to have one that holds at least 3. I am delighted that I went with this stand. The premium price is well worth the extra features you get. It more than easily holds all 3 of my laptops, as well as my iPad Air, and there is still one more slot available on the back for another device if I need. Build quality is 10 out of 10. Heavy, sturdy aluminum that feels like it's been machined from a solid block. The partitions are adjustable by using a hex key (included) so you can tailor it to fit any device thickness, and all the interior surfaces and the base are covered with a soft-touch rubber padding so your devices (and your desk) will not get scratched. With all 3 of my laptops currently in it, the stand feels very sturdy and stable. Not flimsy AT ALL. I love this thing and I can't believe I put up with stacking laptops on my desk for so long. We just revamped our office space and everything got an overhaul. Laptop/monitor layout is completely different from before so the previous method wasn't cutting it. I took a stab at this (wasn't crazy about the price) but it is super sturdy, has a nice heft to it, plenty of rubber to prevent ANYTHING from sliding anywhere. The little lipped edge in the back is being used like a conduit for cabling from the grommet on the right to other components on the left. 100% recommend! To those who are having an issue adjusting the arms, put the stand on its side, slide the laptops in on their side, and adjust that way. Super simple. Read more
