Extremely flattering, very comfortable. Stretchy. Pockets!!! The fabric is pretty heavy, which isn’t a negative thing, just makes it better for cool weather or heavy air conditioning. The feel of the fabric isn’t what I expected — it’s thick and very polyester-y — but the dress itself is so well-made, comfy, and stylish that it outweighs my slight disappointment with the material. Love the cut and color. The pin tuck at the collar paired with the skirt gives this a bit of a 40s feel. The top 3 buttons are open and close with a loop rather than buttonhole and I love that design detail. The lower buttons are simply sewn on. I wish there were faux loops to help them blend in better/ maintain the illusion. The bodice fit is slim to body and the back zipper moves well. The belt is sewn to the dress along one side at the waist. The advantage is this stops the belt riding up or down as you move. Not sure how that will hold up with washing. I am very surprised at how much I like this dress on me. It's flattering and feminine. The quality of the material is just above average, so it is not see-through. The dress is well made: no stray threads, misdirected seams, or picks in the fabric. I received several compliments when I wore it to church. I love the pockets, the 3/4 length sleeves, and the length of the dress, which is a demure mid-calf length on me. I am happy with this purchase. For me, the quality and value of this dress exceed the price. Read more

Really beautiful dress, the material is thick so the pleats and skirt hold their structure. Fits snug around the waist so it’s nice and flattering. I will be getting it hemmed so it stops just above my knee. Read more

Looks and feels great, right out of the garment bag! The fabric is kind of a fall weight--similar to a ponte or gabardine, with just a little stretch. The "light blue" color is a lovely royal blue that's more unique than navy but still office appropriate. The structural detailing at the collar makes me feel like Marissa Morgan on the TV show Bull, but the A-line skirt helps balance the silhouette on heavier girl. (The XXL fit me perfectly at ~170 lbs.) I adore the practical pockets and really like that the belt covers the waist seam for a nice, clean look. I'm still on the fence about how that belt is sewn in on one side, though; if I ever wanted to accessorize differently, I'd have to do a little seam ripping... That and the length are the only reasons I didn't give this dress five stars. At 5'1", there's definitely some hemming in my future to turn this from a "high water" to a proper tea length.
