I'm 5'6"/ 155 lbs with a slightly larger waist. I bought an XL and had a little extra room in the dress. The white trim made my waist look 2 sizes smaller. I absolutely LOVE this dress! It is made of great quality, has stretch and is VERY comfortable. I wear 14-16 and ordered the XXL--which I'm glad I did bc I almost ordered the XL, and it would have been too tight. The XXL fits PERFECT. This is a very flattering looking dress, and I definitely plan to purchase more from this brand, as it's been kinda difficult for me to find dressy dresses of 'good' quality AND fit that are what I consider reasonably priced.
