This thing is great! I ordered it in desperation as a possible pain relief remedy and it does help. I was having trouble getting over a particularly nasty flare up of chronic Lyme disease and searching for something that might help with lymphatic drainage when this type of machine popped up. This particular model has a sturdy feel and it has suction cups to anchor it safely to the floor for safety. The surface is smooth and comfortable and not slippery. The instructions don’t have as much information as I would have liked, but it’s not that difficult to figure out. There are pre-set functions that take the machine to different speeds automatically, so I tried level two. It went up, then down, then back up on fairly low speeds which were actually quite comfortable. It definitely provided pain relief which lasted longer than the type of temporary relief obtained from percussion or shiatsu massage machines. And no bruising like those other machines can cause. I placed it next to a chair back in case I needed something to hold on to, but I didn’t have any balance problems whatsoever. The instructions do suggest that people with certain illnesses or medical conditions consult with a physician first. I’m in my mid-sixties and I actually had fun standing on this machine. As a child, I loved to play on my grandmother’s giant fat jiggling machine that had a rubber strap to fasten around the waist. It was hilarious to talk or sing and hear my voice vibrating. And it still is! I sang Christmas carols while giggling about my happy childhood memories on the fat jiggling machine. This doesn’t jiggle the fat quite so much on low speeds, but it’s still fun to feel it jiggling like jello. There’s a timer pre-set to around fifteen minutes, but you can set it to your desired time easily enough. There are little metal bars that pivot out underneath on each side for attaching the resistance bars if desired. It’s a simple to use device that promises to be fun as well as functional. I noticed that the muscle (and fat) vibration changed as I bent over or moved my legs into different positions. I’m going to look online for information and instructions on how to exercise safely on one of these devices before attempting it willy nilly. I’m a total klutz and I’d rather not fall off in an act of blatant stupidity. This machine will store easily under furniture if necessary. Positioning it next to a cabinet or dresser would also make it easy to hang on to something if a chair back is too low. I’m going to love this thing for the laughs alone. The pain relief will be a bonus. Read more
