This product by itself will not protect your bed. But it is the base for waterproofing your bed. It is 100 percent waterproof however, it is very thin. fragile if you handle it too heavy handed . Now once you have it on you will need another waterproof bed cover to cover it up. I recommend any other on the market that says waterproof or this brand “All-in-One Mattress Protector” . This is just for texture because nobody wants to feel like they sleeping on plastic(vinyl). Also to prevent any rips in the base (base = this product) because it’s thin. Clean up is easy due to it being plastic and drys fast with both covers. I am telling you now don’t buy by itself it’s will not last but it will definitely keep your bed dry. Just take your time when sliding it on for easy installation. The size of your bed matters. Queen 12 in bed (what I got) needs a king due to thickness so if your mattress is kind of thick size up. It actually fits my bed perfect so yeah take that how you can use it because the zipper is frag. Trust me you can buy anyone off the market but this is by far the best for waterproofing. The minute I put it one the bed, where the zipper is it tore and made a big hole to the point it wouldn't zip anymore. Not worth the price and to return it ,it wouldn't be worth it to try and get it back in the bag. I lost money on this one. People beware. Read more

We used this to store a mattress that was not going to be used for awhile. We ordered a queen to put on a double just for ease of fitting it in. It got caught on the frame and ripped but I can't blame the product for that one. Read more

This fit well and was easy enough to put on. Unfortunately it was out of need that we bought this 🙃 but we are glad to have it! It’s worked so well! Our mattresses are protected. Our kids are protected. Because it’s vinyl, the sound does bother one of our kids but we just put a mattress pad over and he’s good! Read more

Arrived just after dark this evening. Took it out of the package - got the mattress ready, and noticed beside the zipper, it looks like the stitching hadn't been finished. (see photos) I was going to send it back, but i can't be waiting any longer to sleep on a brand new mattress. I got the mattress two days ago, and haven't slept on a bed for about two weeks, and that's a bit rough on a 70 year old, so i decided to just keep the freakin thing and duct tape the hell out of it. There are some things one should never buy online, and a mattress encasement is one of those things. The only store close enough for me is walmart, and they were out of zippered mattress covers, and i was told they sell out as fast as they come in. SO, i bought this one on Amazon - regrettably. Lesson learned. I will use it - duct tape and all - til i can buy a new one locally. My list of things to never again but from Amazon is growing, and it really hurts my feelings, because i DO like buying from this outfit, because things arrive much faster than things bought from Walmart's website. Problem: if you apply pressure on the mattress with your elbow when laying down, it tears the material then the rip just gets bigger as you move on the mattress rendering the cover mostly useless. Read more

product is very flimsy - be extremely careful putting it on your mattress - do not force it or pull too hard - it will rip . . . ours did rip - luckily it ripped by the edge - too much effort to take it all off of our king size bed and package it up to return it we are seniors !! - but very disappointed in the quality.
