I really love the look of these boots. They are so cute! I have very skinny ankles, so finding a boot that could be cinched up at the ankle was my driving factor in purchasing these. On the tightest setting, they fit great. Do note, however, that when you cinch them up that much, there is a little bit of bulging that occurs on the inside of the ankle on the other strap. The next largest setting fixes that issue, but then they don't fit me as well. The small bulge is not a deal breaker for me. I don't think it's that obvious to anyone else and is more noticeable to me as I'm looking down at the boot. When I first got these boots, I was concerned about the heel height being a bit too tall and the hard ridge that runs under the footbed. They didn't feel too comfy and I tried a gel foot pad which didn't feel quite right so I took that out. I just couldn't send the boots back because of how cute they were! I'm happy I didn't, because after wearing them for a few hours, they actually got more comfortable. I guess I'm getting used to them and the firm support. This is one of those purchases where reading the reviews,(and I read them all, or close to it) does not help at all. Either people "loved them" or "hated them," "worst fit ever," "worst shoe ever" or "the best thing I've ever had on my feet." I think they are the most fabulous, cutest, most comfortable ankle boots I have EVER tried on! I have wanted these for a LONG time, I have always loved VIONIC but some of the reviews scared me off since they were/are quite pricey. I really didn't hold out much hope that I would like them, so I was more than pleasantly surprised. I will probably wear them with thin socks and skinny jeans/jeans but they are comfortable without socks. I have flat, severely arthritic feet(only in my 40's), so Vionic has been a miracle for me. I am a true 8. With the mix reviews, I decided to purchase a 8 and 8 wideth. I bought the greige color. It was more of a Smokey dark grey instead of a dark browish taupe color I was looking for. There was no difference in the width where the toe part is. I wouldn’t recommend this shoes for anyone that has issues finding shoes because of toes reason and needs wide shoes. They measure about the same in that department In the toe area. It was 3.75 inches long. There was only a difference was in the ankles which I have no issues with. I did try it without thick and thin ankle socks and no socks. The thick ankle socks are both unbelievable tight. The thin socks was okay. Without socks was the best. I prefer to wear with socks. I do have a minor issue with my left pinky toes. My foot is a little wider. Never have to order a wide shoe. It’s not a major issue. But I did find that both of them didn’t crushed it but irritated that toe. I would recommend this shoe ONLY if you have no issues with toe width. If you have issues with ankle wideth, order the wideth. Order a half size or full size up. I will be returning because it wasn’t the color I was hoping for. beside the toe issue, they feel like they can be very comfortable shoes. Read more
Vionic is making more stylish footwear and I love it. I first discovered Vionic flip flops after hearing a woman in an airport say they had changed her life. 6 months ago I was having terrible knee pain so I changed from my beloved croc flip flops to Vionic. In 2 weeks my knee pain was almost gone. Now I only wear Vionic if I know I will be doing a lot of walking or standing. They are making it possible for me to delay a knee procedure for a little while longer. These boots are perfect but most of all comfortable. I wear a 7.5 m and these are very true to size. I need some half stars here. The boot itself is very sleek and stylish and will go very well with a dressier outfit. I give that 5 Stars! My problem comes in that I have a high arch and had to use a shoe horn to get my foot into it. The fact that it is suede and not leather is the only reason that worked. I just needed 1/16" more room. I bought the same boot "last" in a different design by Orthaheel that had a stretchy gusset in it and got that on comfortably. I will have to look for that kind of stretch feature if I am going to buy another leather pair. Again I can't say enough about the fit the Orthaheel shoes have. Just a terrific shoe maker!! Read more
I wore these boots all day, straight from the box with no issues!! They are the most comfortable boots I own, hands down....!!!! Not to mention the style! I was hesitant about the heel height, but no worries there either. This boot fits my foot like a glove, no pinching or bunching anywhere. Have several pairs of Vionic's, from sandals, tennis shoes to booties. Vionic's are made well and great for people who have problem with their feet. Their are comfortable to walk for a long period of time. Great support and looks very stylish. With the money if you go to Vionic website you would pay more. Read more
I love Vionic and have never had a problem until now. When the package arrived, the packing envelope looked fine but the box was really broken up. The tissue paper used to wrap the boots looked as though it had been used before. Quite a lot. . The boots themselves looked OK and not perviously worn. However, I am a standard size 8. The right boot fit fine but I could not get my foot into the left boot no matter how hard I tried and I really tried. It was marked size 8 but I am certain it was a 7.5 or probably a 7. I think from the overall condition of the box and tissue that quite a lot of people had to return this boot including me. To add insult to injury when I went back to reorder a larger size, I noticed Prime had them for $20 less than this seller. A double hit! Poor fit and over priced. Read more
