I looked at pretty much EVERY model of monitor stand on Amazon for a 27" monitor (not a giant TV, although I bet this would work). Nearly all of them had terrible reviews, were impossible to put together and/or missing pieces, and had such a tiny base that TVs fell over forward and broke. This one only had 3 reviews, but looked from the photo to be just what I wanted, so I took a chance. It took my husband and me about 30 minutes to assemble, and we left off the laptop stand (it works fine without it), as it would have been too high up for my set up. The castors are plastic, but the rest is lightweight metal (aluminum?) and very sturdy and well made. There were assembly instructions in the box that were easy to follow. The stand has a wide wheel base and lets me move the monitor up or down and tilt it. Works PERFECTLY for an LG monitor with my Mac laptop. Hope this helps you! Read more

This monitor stand is great. Easy to assemble, strong aluminum posts and clamps, nice desk attachement, very sturdy. However, the maximum height for the middle of my monitor is 50" - it is NOT suitable for working while standing unless you wish to be bending your neck and looking down the whole time. And I have asked 3 times if there is an option of a taller post ... but no answer from the seller. Very disappointing.
