I love that the freeze-dried Vitamin C comes separately and can be mixed into the ampoule right before use that makes the product feel extra fresh. With both retinol and Vitamin C, my skin looks brighter and feels smoother. It absorbs quickly without any stickiness, leaving my skin soft and refined. Read more

I generally have a noticeable response to a vitamin C / retinol combo but this has been a slow one for me. I would recommend this though as I do notice a happy brightness to all areas of my skin where applied, but it's not hitting the mark with my dark spots. There's a tiny bit of prep that needs to be done to complete the formula, which I found kind of fun and engaging. I don't love the bottle set up, I find the silicone like top to be strange and leaky, but it's all about the product here and it is lovely. I do occasionally get some skin irritation when using both vitamin C with retinol, but I had no issues with this serum. I do notice a slight citrus-y scent which I believe is an added fragrance... one star removed because this really isn't necessary and questionable when applying to the eye area (or any facial skin). It is a small bottle but is a great value. It's mildly brightening but sadly with added fragrance. Read more

** This item was received through the Vine program for no cost, but requires all reviews to be accurate and honest. Ethically, I note any negatives aspects as truthfully as any positives. ** Product Name: Vita C Capsule Double Shot Ampoule Kit-Korean Serum for Dark Spots Uneven Skin Tone, Pure Vita C 3% + Retinol 300 IU + Niacinamide, K-beauty, 10ml, 0.33 fl. oz. Use Info: Adult Woman of a Certain Age Overall Review: Ok, I admit it: I'm using more face serums and creams that I thought I would at this age. I started to notice "the signs" and said "Oh *#&^$^@!!" So I've started using a couple of serums regularly that seem to be somewhat beneficial and not too expensive. Neither of my regular serums have Vitamin C in them and every Vit C serum I've tried ends up being thick and kind of sticky feeling. When I saw this item with Vit C, Retinol and Niacinamide, I decided to give it a try. This serum comes in a unique form- a sealed vial with the retinol and niacinamide, a separate sealed blister pack that contains a light yellow round powdery ball, and a silicon type top for the vial with a long pointed tip with a cap. After the Vit C is tablet is in the vile, you put a lid on (the original one will go back on, or use the pointed one) and shake to break up the tablet and disburse it in the serum. I shook it for a while to make sure it was all broken up. How ever you mix it, make sure to put the applicator tip on at this point so you can use the serum. Once it is mixed, the serum is thick. This is when I realized how much I like the applicator tip. Because the serum is thick, the flexibility of the applicator tip works great to squeeze out a couple of drops of serum to use on your face. It doesn't take a lot of product for each use, it isn't a weird orange color, it isn't sticky, and it absorbs into my skin quickly. At the current price of $7, I feel this is a good value for the money. I wasn't honestly exactly expecting a lot when I first used this serum. However, after I used it the first time, I could feel a little extra tightness in my skin. Nothing uncomfortable, just noticeable. I have now used this serum multiple times alone or with my HA serum. I have found that my skin does look a little better to me when I use it and it does help my face look a brighter and a difference in how deep my "Elevens" and crows feet look. This is one where I can honestly say I notice a difference when I use it. And what's better? A friend who hadn't seen me in 8 months said "You actually look younger!" I'll take more of that please! For the price I think this serum is great! There are a few small complaints I could make about it but it’s so inexpensive and that it puts some quality ingredients in the hands of just about anyone and that’s something I can celebrate. I did want to start but clearing up something mentioned elsewhere. This product ABSOLUTELY has all the expected and appropriate information on it. Who made it. Where it’s made. Manufacturing and expiration date. Ingredients. Instructions. It’s right there on the packaging and impossible to miss so I don’t know why anyone would say otherwise. As others have noted the concentration of Ascorbic Acid is 3% and although this is less than what you’d find in strong Vitamin C products fro skin brightening, this is a serum that combines Vit C and Retinol. When used together they are more effective, a real super duo of actives! And because both are really strong ingredients and both capable of causing irritation I think the 3% is probably smart and makes the potential of irritation less likely. I should however suggest anyone new to either of these 2 ingredients take things slowly, otherwise it could cause irritation and the retinol can cause dryness. For those like me who use these 2 ingredients on a regular basis, this is an easy serum to use and not likely to cause issues. I’m not sure if the same would hold true if the concentration of Vit C were higher and I’m guessing they formulated this to make it tolerable for the majority of people. It’s also more comfortable to wear than a thick Vit C serum and for those who really dislike the feel of Vit C this lighter weight serum might prove a good option. I love the idea of the freezes dried “pill” and mixing the serum fresh. That way you know the Vit C is at its most effective. I would however suggest using this serum up quickly. Seems it’s be great for those dealing with post breakout hyperpigmentation who want to start treating dark spots and uneven skin. Also a good formula for those who want some anti-aging actives. The price is around 1/3 of the cost of most serums so I think it’s absolutely worth a try! And since this will stay potent until mixed, it’s a great product to buy and have tucked away for when needed. Read more
