I have to give this 5 stars for what it's trying to do and because there's nothing else like it. Kudos for being innovative. Rating it any less isn't fair because if you have a problem with the item, you actually have a problem with the design philosophy and should have went with something else to begin with. TIPS: If you have screen overhang, I recommend buying some cheap adhesive pads to elevate how the monitor connects. I also think these would be a good idea for VIVO to include in the box since they could really tailor fit it and most people would probably need them. CONTEXT: I use this with an Asus Zenbook 14X + LG gram 16" portable display. The Gram is A LOT more expensive than the UPERFECT I had which failed after not much time, but it's extremely lightweight by design at only around 1.5lb which is great for a quality 16" IPS. Also probably cheaper in the long run than the cheap Chinese brands that I'd have to replace every 6 months. I also think the Gram is ideal for this mount because it DOES have a bigger bezel on the bottom, safely clearing the bottom screen mount. PROS: - Once you decide how you want to mount the monitor (top is best IMO hands down ergonomically), you no longer need to worry about screws or the wrench when you're on the go. All the important adjustment screws are thumbscrews so you don't have to worry about losing parts on a trip. - It's way less likely to damage a portable monitor compared to those compression clamp designs that can put too much pressure on a portable monitor! I don't see going back to my Cooper stand clamp-style. While I loved its stability and simplicity, I'm not OK with the immense pressure it puts on portable monitors or the fact it's heavier. - Compact and just heavy enough to give sturdiness it needs. Still compact and lighter than clamp style designs. - Sturdier than it looks once properly setup. Just don't overtighten screws! CONS: - If you're a clumsy person and have a tendency to break things, use extra caution with this product and do every step slowly until you've mastered the mechanics. Observe the mount from the sides and ensure the mounting screws are even with the displays. Also remember the stand can bend to ensure this proper fit. Take your time! Otherwise, if you're a person with precision, you should have no issues. - The laptop screen connector is almost guaranteed to overstep bezel boundaries on any modern laptop. If I had one complaint, it's that there's no adjustment to be more friendly with slimmer bezels. I am looking at DIY strategies to add my own padding inside the mount so it doesn't block part of the display. I'm not knocking a star though over this because the current design will provide more stability and going DIY can introduce risks if not careful. I might even see if there's a way I can file them down a few mm. Read more

This is the best portable monitor holder because of the small size and light weight. I like that it is mostly metal. It is extremely stable if you understand physics/mechanics. The only issue I came across is that the rubber pad on the jack stand comes off easily and can be lost. I suggest using epoxy to bond it to the metal jack stand. Same goes for the circular pads that come into contact with your laptop screen and the extra screen. They seem to come off easily since they're only attached by adhesive. Again, I suggest taking the initiative to add epoxy or a stronger glue to prevent them from being lost. I had lost those rubber circular pads and I just cut those furniture pads (the ones that you use to move furniture on wood surfaces) to size and it works well as a replacement. Read more

My travel monitor was damaged and renerderd useless after connecting this device. It's made of heavy metal and tightens with screws with rubber pads. It bareley secures the connections with only 4 centimeters to connect to. It squeezes the screens that puts stress on them. I am very lucky that it didn't damage my laptop monitor. Be aware of this device because now I have to purchase a new travel monitor. Read more

This is a great idea but it damages yor laptop monitor, pay close attention to small discoloration on your laptop monitor its a sign that your monitor is going to go out soon, it applies too much pressure the monitor even when the screws are loose Read more

This extender was exactly what I needed to attach my two-travel monitors. This bracket is made solid. perfect fit for the travel table I bought. Be very cognizant of how much pressure you apply when tightening the screws to your monitors. If you need to pick up your monitors, make sure you grab the bracket and the top monitor.
