Great price point for this item 4K Steraming and my grandsons video game look great

Easy setup and great picture. I heard Vizio got bought out. So hurry. Adding channels for streaming and works with the Vizio phone app to boot. I have an older Vizio and they just keep doing it better. I would compare ot other manufacuters I have had but I don't want to get in trouble. Without being specific just name a bigger brand then compare how easy the setup and apps are. I think you will prefer one of these. JMO Read more

Awesome inexpensive TV

WAFKAugust 17, 2024

We love the Vizio TVs! For the price , it really does the job. This is the 43” smart TV and we use it to watch all of the streaming services. The sound and picture are good enough. It’s not a picture like the units that cost thousands but I think for the price paid it’s terrific. My other one we had for 3 years until we accidentally broke it but we got a new one based on the great value we found in the prior one. The remote control works great and it you can even enable the remote on your iPhone. It connected to the WiFi immediately with no issues and we have no issues or lagging with the streaming. I definitely recommend this TV! Read more

Works great and 3rd party apps are fast

David KIMAugust 6, 2024

Great TV. Installed well on VESA mount. The TV doesn't work at all with a cable box from what I could tell. I installed coaxial cable from cablebox and checking antennae channel search came up empty. Good thing the cable box has HDMI plug so I went HDMI to HDMI. The remote is good enough and has good shortcuts to the apps. The Vizio account issue is well known. But getting out of the screen that forces the QR code account. Restarting the TV doesn't get past it either even after creating the account. I forget how we did it, but we got the QR screen to go away and to the home screen after having created the Vizio account. The LIve TV is interesting and has so many channels. But it's still not cable. Screen quality is great. Read more

Worst TV

ScottDecember 13, 2025

Had this TV for less than a year. Freezes all the time. Watch one movie and it freezes 3-4 times before getting to the end of the moving. Have to unplug the TV because it wont even shut off by the remote. Do not buy! There is even a forum with others complaining about the same thing. Read more

Great Picture and Features, but a Frustrating Remote + Features

James TyleraAugust 1, 2025

When I purchased my 43-inch Vizio TV, I was excited to upgrade my living room setup, but I quickly learned an important lesson about TV sizing: the advertised size is measured diagonally from corner to corner, not horizontally. I initially thought a 43-inch TV would have a 43-inch width, but the actual screen width is closer to 37.5 inches. This was a bit of a surprise, as I had assumed it would feel larger, but once I understood the measurement, the TV fit my space well. For anyone shopping for a TV, keep in mind that the horizontal width is typically about 85-87% of the diagonal size. So a 43-inch TV is roughly 37.5 inches wide, a 55-inch is about 47.5 inches, and so on. Despite my initial sizing misconception, the Vizio TV has been a mixed but mostly positive experience. The picture quality is solid for the price point, delivering vibrant colors and decent contrast, especially when streaming or gaming in 4K. I appreciate the ability to tweak the picture settings with options like Calibrated, Calibrated Dark, Bright, and Game modes. These presets make it easy to optimize the display for different lighting conditions or content types. One of the standout features is the TV’s connectivity, especially with my Sonos soundbar + Sub. Pairing the two was seamless, and the audio sync is flawless, creating an immersive experience for movies and music. The sleep timer is another gem. I love setting it to turn off the TV automatically after 30 or 60 minutes, which is perfect for falling asleep to a show without worrying about leaving the TV on all night. However, my biggest gripe—and it’s a significant one—is the remote. Frankly, it’s awful. The design feels clunky and cheap. Worse, the remote has a built-in microphone that’s always on, listening to everything in the room, which feels like a major privacy invasion. There’s no clear way to disable it without diving deep into the settings, and even then, I’m not convinced it’s fully off. To top it off, the remote frequently requires software updates, which interrupt my viewing experience. Vizio could have done much better here, and the remote alone makes me question my purchase at times. Overall, I have a love-hate relationship with this Vizio 43-inch TV. The picture quality, customizable settings, sleep timer, and soundbar connectivity are highlights that make it a solid choice for budget-conscious buyers. However, the intrusive and poorly designed remote is a major drawback that detracts from the experience. If you’re considering a Vizio TV, make sure you understand the diagonal sizing (a 43-inch TV is about 37.5 inches wide, not 43 inches) and be prepared to deal with the remote’s quirks. I’d recommend this TV for casual viewers who prioritize picture quality and connectivity over a polished user experience, but if a reliable remote is a must, you might want to look elsewhere. Despite its flaws, it gets the job done, and I’ve enjoyed using it for streaming and gaming—just don’t expect perfection. Read more
